A quick op in and out. I have been doing so much this morning and afternoon. I have been making lists as well . all sorts cards lists. birhday and Christmas cards

Things I need to do, in the next week.

I had so many emails this morning and afternoon 20.

I had to laugh , one of my Grandsons being in Oman for 6 months tour of duty. I didnt know what he would be allowed in his parcel I am use to sending them to Afganistan., ? but the biggest laugh was no Pron Magazines or Top shelf ones. as if I would. ? I am his Grandmother for goodness sake Lol.
so I had to list what to buy to put in that parcel. Lists I have them
everywhere sure sign of getting old..

I need a cup of coffee now I am getting dry. must be all that talking on here.

No Pauline I am here I just dropped in .as I used the Goggle I had been given a website to find out about sending my Grandson serving in Oman his Parcels. I was so use to sending parcels to the troops in Afganistan I was not sure if the Arab country was stopping certain items being sent. I usually send some shoeboxes with things in for the troops who dont have relations or very few.at Chrstmas with cards. I just wanted to Check Lee would get his mail.

I am going to do some housework now YES I did say Housework. I had hoped Stephens wife would let him come here and do some work for me.? he seems to be a dab hand at the jobs he does around the house for her.
But seems I have to do my own sob sob.

Marilyn, my rings are all diamonds but I do like the look of those alexandrites.

Rita, I'm old fashioned, I like yellow gold with diamonds, I think the colour of the gold sets the diamond off better. My mam's wedding ring was red gold.

But not that clever, I'm not sure of the year, I think it's either 1941 or 1950 or 1955.......which is it?

Simple do not too much prep:-
Fish Chips Pies sausages etc from a local chippy
Cake which I picked up yesterday
Gateaux ready bought
A few snacks
Bring a bottle

Just immediate family today. Thats Mum & Dad, their 5 children and husbands or wives, all their grandchildren (13) and Dad's Aunt and her daughter. About 30 altogether.

I got a nice photo frame in Cornwall it is silver, with cut out hearts all round the edge and a few "diamonds" sprinkled around the edge too.
I printed off a picture of their wedding group and inserted that. They can always change it if they don't like it.

Oh well offf for a walk to get the paper soon

Thought I'd try writing in an 'accent' to see if it could be identified !!!!

Pretty hard really. I could be from anywhere. LOL

As a young nieve man of about 19 I would try and copy local dialect and be like those I was in company with......UNTIL......

A lady in London nabbed me and told me in no uncertain terms never to be ashamed of my accent or my mother tounge.

I have never forgotten that day. If people don't understand me then THEY have a major problem not me.

Plain everyday language....none of your 'hard to understand' words or extensive vocabulary.

When I broadcast or give lectures....I keep it simple... and as I'm a simpleton....that's easy.

Fairly busy day ahead. Another large painting job to do for my niece. Had finished the majority of what was to be done and thought.....that'll do nicely.....now she wants this doing. As long as it keeps her happy, fine. She's a grand lass but has gone through the wars recently and needs a bit of support.

It's my son, Calum, 30th birthday today. The whole family are a bit down that he is so far away and can't be with us just now or at Christmas.Had he been at home there would have been a grand Celidh tonight to celebrate.
There are a loads of families in the same position as we are and we can understand how they must be feeling as well.
God willing he will be kept safe and come home to us in the not too distant future.
