Morning all.

Maddie, you're very organized and you do a lot of walking - you would have done well in the army.

Rita and Linda, we haven't got your rain yet but it's windy and bitter cold, it's the type of wind that just cuts right through you.......I hate the cold, I'm a wimp.

Can you send us a bit of your lovely warm sunshine Marilyn?

I like spotty dick Yvonne, but I prefer a home made one, my mam used to make them in a cloth.............clouty pudding.

Mo, that's great timing for the meet, you'll all be able to sing to Jean for her birthday. Don't forget to take photos.................preferably before you all get legless. Oh, I forgot, you don't drink - that means you're in charge of the camera. It's a shame that Shelly can't go.........but rules are rules.

And where are our 2 fine men this morning? No sign of them, what did you lot do to them last night while I wasn't here to keep you all under control?

If I could ? I would blow a big raspberry at the weather it is like the rain forest. dark windy and dam wet..

Jean they are making a new series of Downton Abbey for next year.
Last nights one was a bit of a rush to get it finshed I wish they would not do that as everything happened at once and it is hard to take it all in.

so they have left us with a big cliff hanger now.

Must admit I am not a" Get me out of here fan. " I watched it a few times when it first started and hated it. I didnt like the way people acted trying to show off for the camera and make a name for themselves.

I am sorting my washing out now so I can get than done and out of the way.

Morning Mo and Yvvone nice to hear from you you do sound very busy. I got your email Marilyn thank you.
morning Linda have a nice day.

It is dark, squally and very wet here this morning.

I guess we will be staying home today and not going out as I had hoped.

Little is here again later, not the early starts this week thank goodness.

Hope you all have a good week. Thinking of you Jean as your treatment continues. How many more weeks do you have?

Linda :o) XxX

Mo ...& ...Rita,

Thank you for the Strictly News .....Jimi did let himself down last week or was it the week before ?

Ann is a joke .....knocking real dancers off, but I must admit the viewers must like the entertainment , I do like Anton.....only as a dancer and of course he is cheeky..LOL

Mo you are so right I love all these reality shows ......just for nosiness I suppose.
Wonder who they got going in the jungle, I suppose I can look it up on internet, but you'll have to tell me Mo all about it as you see it , like who's being two faced and all that nitty gritty stuff..LOL
The internet wont let me play anything over here in USA it blocks any video's from UK.
I went to play some of Strictly and up came not available ....BOO HOOOOO ..

Off for my meal.... x

Maddie, we went into Wethersp**ns the last time we came up to London. We went to see the show Wicked just along the road from it. It was not to bad at that time, but as we all know, places can quickly go down hill.
You take it easy with your back now, and don't over do it. No jumping of the wardobes in the bedroom. Lol

Rita, I agree with you about Ann Widdy, but she is being kept in for entertainment value only, and not for her dancing,as she is absolutely hopeless at it.

Hi again, Mo, I will be 74 in March so maybe I should make a visit to London my birthday treat to myself, though I haven't been there since I was 17, not sure I could find my way around now, but it would be absolutely great to meet you.
Rita, I suppose I have all that to come, my Grandson is 22 so its a long time since I had babies around, except for the ones I fostered, but they were never here for very long.
I am going to do some more work on my tree now,
Take care.

Hello Mo Jean and Dermot

we were told on the radio Surrey there was bad weather ahead gale force winds and heavy rain coming our way. they said Snow in Scotland and the west coast is going to have the same as us/ it is very cold here tonight I will put my heating on in a moment.
I am getting ready to have an early tea so I can sit and watch some television tonight. I have worked hard today on files and adding to my tree. so I stopped and thought thats it for now.

Jean I have a great grandson Charlie he came here two weeks ago and has started walking he was into everything even my computer had sticky hands on it and the DVDs were taken out the book shelf and stacked on the floor then he wanted to make a phone call. I dont know how his parents can keep rushing around after him it tired me out.
I was thinking Jean if the weather is that bad I will be able to start writing Chrstmas cards out and do more on the family tree,.
I have added 6 more this last couple of days.

see you later

Well Dermot, there was me thinking that all the people travelling down towards the coast, with boats on their roof racks were daft, but it looks like it could be me left with egg on my face now.

Dermot

Dermot Report 7 Nov 2010 17:24

Well, are we going to get this stormy weather tonight or what? Our neighbours across the Irish Sea have been forecasting gales & floods for several days now.

The authorities there have been filling sandbags and the like for distribution to ease the expected water surge coupled with high tides.

I’ve been so worried that I dug out the building plans Noah used to build the Arc. Unfortunately, Aramaic is not a language I’m fluent in at the moment. So, I suspect nails are being hammered in where they may not be needed. Multiple language instructions are a relatively recent innovation. Anyway, I was never very good at assembling flat packs.

I have no intention of inviting the animals, two by two, to come along. Look what happened to Noah’s Arc as a result of those pesky woodpeckers.

Anyone got some spare seasick tablets please?

Oooooh Jean, I am so sorry, I forgot to mention you when I finished my last post. Stupid stupid me, please forgive me.
Yes there is to be a meet up in Victoria, in March next year. Maddie is doing all the arrangments, and so far there is three of us from this thread going. Even Stephen has threatened to honour us with a visit. Please say you can make the meet, it would be so lovely to meet you.
I bet you have thoroughly enjoyed having the baby there this weekend. They grow up so quickly dont they, bless them, but we can't keep them babies all their lives, mores the pity.
