Morning everyone Bit brighter here this morning though I did sleep later, to be honest.
Finished writng the bulk of my cards yesterday evening and draft copy of my round robin letter. Not too keen on them but as I write a hundred cards and probably 30 letters I can't do them all by hand.
Have a good day

Morning Jean !
MUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuncccccchhhhhhh !
SLLLLLLLUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrpppppppp!
Thanks for the breakfast......needed that.
\________/_____ Porridge pot.......dig in.
Winter has officially arrived in Scotland.....already we have had a couple of the higher roads blocked with snow.
It's a joke....you can almost tell what the Weather Guy is going to say when he comes to the Road Report....the same roads every year.....blocked.
Not minor routes....major roads to the Communities they serve. Fuel prices in these areas are a lot more expensive than we 'townies' pay. Add the extra miles that they have to make a detour to get to out of their area and the cost of travel rockets. Food like bread and milk is also a lot more expensive as is fresh fruit, veg and meat.
The education of the children also suffers when they can't get to school. High School pupils tend to be 'boarders' during the week so miss out a lot on family life.
Still I suppose living in a remote area does have some advantages !!!!!! ie you don't live in a busy town full of pollution etc.
MOAnnnnnnnnnnnnnn Over.
Lovely crisp morning here.
Hi Ho Hi ho it's off to work I go......well in a wee while yet.
Have a good day ya all !
Dame Shelly, will be think about you and the wee one.

But I am enjoying seeing the Chuckle brothers and the two characters from Eastenders, sorry I can't remember their names.

Maddie I am old enought to have seen Max Miller we use to go to the Music Hall in Edgware road and one in Harlesden we use to pay 6 pence and go up in the gods. (for those who do not know what the Gods was.) it is the seats near to the roof.very hight up and wooden seats. I saw lots of the old singers and comediems I saw Danny Laroo)not sure how to spell his name ) " On Mother carrys door step "down paradise row I fell in love with Mary . " and one called the Chocolate Caloured Coon. also the indian rubber man.and Max Wall. they were the days. Also I met Jim Davidson he use to own a place in Great Yarmouth he spent a lot of time with the men from the Caister life Boat station near where I lived he made a record with them he took them to the London Palladium on Stage where they all sang. He also raise a lot of money for them as they are a private Life Boat station.he brought them and off shore life boat paid for it his self the Prince of Wales spent time in caister every May. and Jim was always there.he came to the funeral of one of the life boat men.

You can't beat the old comics like the Two Ronnies, or Morcambe and Wise. Another commedien (sp) I like is Jethro. I have seen him in concert a few times, and once my ears have tuned into his dialect, I find him funny. But there is definately one comic, if you can call him that, that I cant stand is Roy Chubby Brown. He is so coarse, but friends of ours, think he is brilliant. No taste thats what I say.

Pauline,
I agree.....our youths are our future....and I have worked with and met so many that are doing great work for others as well as themselves.
It's such a pity that it's always the bad bunch that get the publicity in our National Press.

When I was at school there were quite a few boys who threatened to burn the school down, but they wouldn't have really, it was just idle threats. The young people today are a lot different.....well, some of them. Thankfully not all kids are like those 3 youths.

That is disgusting Stephen. What gets into some young peoples minds to make them do things like this. It can't be boredom surely, there is just no excuse for it.

Well, slap my thighs Stephen, I didn't know that. I have been called Doo-Lally-Tat so many times in my life, I am convinced now that I must be. LOL
Shelly, Marilyn has taken herself of shopping, so that she doesn't have to sit on the naughty chair. Never mind we will catch her when she gets back, and she can also wear the dunces cap for disobeying you. Rita as soon as she pokes her head round the door grab her,Pauline, you sit on her, I know you are tiny but we dont want her suffering any broken bones. Stephen can get the cine camera out and record it all, Linda and the rest of us will cheer you on. Notice that I will be right next to the door, ready for a speedy exit.>>>>

SHOCK, HORROR, SADNESS
On the way to see my Granddaughters I have to pass through a village. The village has a lovely old school and the pupils are always so well dressed in their uniforms and look happy when they are making their way to the school.
It was burned down on Saturday night. Still awaiting the Structural Engineers Report to see if it can be saved.
The fire was set DELIBERATELY by three youths.
The oldest 17 the youngest just 12.
I am really sad about this as I always admired the building and also the hard work the Staff and Pupils were doing for the School and the local Community.
