I have several broken umbrellas for sale. Any offers?

And another thing - I'm so short-sighted, I picked up a grass snake yesterday intending to kill a stick.

Uck It's really horrid here this morning

Very wet and very windy so all thoughts of a good walk have gone out of the window.

Hospital this afternoon

Managed to get my handicrafts yesterday, so spent last night cross stitching a Christmas card. Only 4 more needed. But those that get them seem to appreciate them so it's worthwhile

Have as good a day as possible

Hope you are OK Jean as you didn't make breakfast this morning

Linda :o) XxX

Mo did you send me another email about 5.30 as it showed one from you and when I tried to open it it did not work.

I like to see the snow but not walk in it. I spend the day looking out the window when we have heavy snow.I am too frightened of falling over in it.

Time for me to wish everyone a good night sleep well.see you in the morning" god willing."

Oh my lord Stephen, I would never be able to stand those temperatures.
But I bet it was beautiful there though. I like looking at these type of phenomenons from inside looking out.

Stephen2009

Stephen2009 Report 10 Nov 2010 21:44

Mo,

In the Mountains and the Arctic where the temperature was really low the patterns formed in the snow and ice was fantastic. Particularly after a blizzard.

Unfortunatley a camera was a luxury I couldn't afford to carry. Fuel was more important.

The images are still firmly imprinted on my mind though.

I do have some really great photos taken by my son when we were in the Cairngorms two years ago. A heavy fall of snow was followed by temperatures of around -20c. The ice and snow formations were great.

Thanks for the update on Olly,Shelly. Give him a big hug and kiss from me.
It's good to know he's nearly back to his old self.
Have they given him any meds for pain or anything like that.

I agree Stephen every sunrise and sunset is a bonus.
What I also like is the patterns that jack frost makes on the windscreens of cars, after a heavy overnight frost.
Frost on the trees and bushes are like a magical world to behold.
But frost bite on the fingers, when one has to go shopping, is a definate no no for me.

Ooops back from my magical mystery tour folks, down to earth with a big bump. It's flippin freezing again tonight. I am green with envy at Marilyn in the warmth in the USA.

Sorry the post below was me, it double posted for some unknown reason.

Just found out that TWO rats could become a colony of a MILLION in just 18 months.

Evening everyone. Been out and about most of the day.
Lovely and crisp and sunny. Makes a change to walk around without wet feet. Had my hair cut into a long bob, so that is most of the layers cut out of it now. Can really do my Audrey Heburn chignon now. lol

Thank you for your offer Rita. I did PM you earlier. Hope Shellys' little un is sitting up and is well. Kids bounce back quicker than adults. He will be up to mischief in no time. Trust everyone else is well.

Put me dinner in the oven, will be ready in about half an hour.

So, will be back later.

Stephen, I love to see all the red colours in the sky when the sun rises, it's beautiful.

I've been out most of today.

Thank you for the cake Yvonne, I'll have it with a cuppa.

Shelly, how did it go, is Olly OK? It'll be strange for him when the bandages come off and he sees his hand is different.

What a fantastic commute to work.

The sun was rising with glorious colours, this was shining on the snow on the hills I could see in the distance. The snow was changing colour by the minute.

Absolutely lovely.

Catch you all later.
