Mo in Kent

Mo in Kent Report 17 Nov 2010 21:38

I know Rita, I was really choked for him as well. Did you know about the gas vans before they showed the programme, I certainly didn't.

Rita Report 17 Nov 2010 21:33

Mo I was just going to close down for the night. I had peeped at one of the trying to find boards.
I also watched that with Jerry Springer I had seen it last time it was on and cried all through it. I did the same this time. that is the sadest I have ever seen on WDYTYA The poor man cried his self so many times what a terrible shock it must have been for him and to walk where his family walked before they died.

Oooh Rita it looks like I have missed you.
Have you been practising doing your drawings, you are certainly getting better at it than me.
I watched the show about Jerry Springer, tracing his fore fathers at 8.00p.m
He was so shocked to find out the truth about his grandmother, dying in the gas chamber, even though he suspected it. And his other grandmother dying in the poor hospital in the ghetto.
It was very interesting to watch. I didn't know that the Germans used the gas vans before they built the gas chambers. How naive can one be.

Jean thank you for your kind remarks I hope your be able to have a rest soon with your treatment.
The contacts list I am not sure what you mean ?is it in the contacts list on the computer where you send mail ? or is it the contact on your list of GR ? I have done that before now by accident but I have looked at my messages and found that person on there.
I think Pauline will most likely know..

Hello everyone, hope you are all ok, and not feeling the cold too much.
only one more day then a two day rest.
Rita, hope you find your new glasses are ok. I have to go in a couple of weeks for my eye test. hope your foot is much less painful now.
Can anyone help me? I have deleted one of my contacts, will this automatically delete me from their contacts? I know this may sound a daft question but am not very good with computers.
Take care and stay safe.
Jean xx

I am back from Specsavers. what a time I had.. I got there early due to the bus being early. I had to wait for the optician as he was late arriving I had an eye check-up he said do you no you have catracts starting ? I told him yes I was told that 4 years go.. why did I leave it this long to go back ? I explained I had tried to wear them in case it was my fault.but I had waited till I saw my consultant at the eye hospital.. and he had said they were the wrong perscription. and to bring them back.so here I am.. with my old ones and the new ones. he measured with the new and old on the computer. then he said I can see what has happened . a slight alteration is needed nothng to worry about.. he took them to the office outside and spoke to the women there. I had to sign a form. I asked could I change the frames. yes that was fine we need £186. I asked what for. ? because I needed the new glasses. I should have taken them back before the six months.
I refused to pay. I said they were responsible it was their error not mine. she went and had a word with the optician .he said you should have been back before the six months I pointed out the six months would have been in December it was now November .or it was when I came out of my house to come here,. I said I expexcted to pay for new frames. as I had asked for them but not the lenses. in the end they charged me £85. I was hopping mad when I came away. no wonder they make so much money.
I should get them in two weeks time.

Shelly did you have to go to work today? You were up a bit late for a work day.

Pleased to see you won at the darts this week, Mo, couldn't have been any worse than last week though... :o)

Where's Marilyn and Jean today? Our part-timers haven't been on either, are you all out shopping?

Hi all.

Just got home (day out with friends), it's bitter cold out there, but at least it's not raining.

Hope the eye test was OK Rita, and pleased to see your foot is less painful today.

Maddie, we'll have to put you in detention for not practicing your drawings.

Did the heater fan cost you much Linda?

How come it's mild in Scotland today when it's freezing here? Mind you, my idea of freezing is probably the same as Stephen's idea of mild.

Morning all.

What a morning. I did not feel like saying Good Morning. because weather wise it does not look at all good. ?
Doom and Gloom Lol.
I feel so sorry for those poeple who live in Cornwall. I have an old friend who lives in Turo but no one other than Florrie now they have all passed on.
It is the time now for all these problems of flooding. we get snowed in and rained in and then it is too hot so they ban water hoses . we are never one or the other.I do hope they dont suffer too badly.
I have my eye test today so I hope I managed to dodge the rain.
Foot progress it is not as bad as it was so maybe it is improving slowly . I do hope so.

time for a cup of tea now. see you all later.

Maddie we thrashed them last night. 4-2 and 2-1, much better than last week when we were white washed.

Massages, my goodness Stephen, do you do the waxing as well ( the floors I mean) mine could do with a bit of a good polish up.

Rita I am pleased to hear the good news. Three months grace now thank the lord.

I can't stop, " I'm a Celebrity "starts in a minute and I missed it last night.
Speak to you all later.
