Bald is beautiful Stephen, well Roly's bald pate is. I like men with bald heads.

Maddie,

It was around 1971/73 we were 'ordered' to grow our hair so that we were not so obvious.
British Military lads were being murdered/assasinated by the ***.

We were also told to walk differently....a military walk is so
distinctive.

W.ish I could grow the same hair now.

Linda, I wore a brown suit,a white and yellow spotted blouse, brown shoes, and a yellow hat. My word what was I thinking back then.
I believe I look older in my wedding photo's than I do now. I know that sounds strange, but the fashions have changed so much over the years, and when I look back,my outfit was a disaster. LOL

Maddie we married in the same year as you.
Hubby had longish hair too. Mine was below my shoulders.
He wore a lilac tie die shirt and a black leather jacket.
The bride wore pink !!! As we married in a registry office I didn't want white and chose a full length dress I could wear again. Yes it was too.
Maybe we should see if we can find wedding photos to send each other I bet Rita looked lovely !!

Had a quiet day today and hubby is snoozing in his chair.

Linda :o) XxX

Stephen, Roly thought he was clever choosing the 29/2/1964 as it was a leap year. Hah, me wait four years for an anniversary, never on your life.
We also had a guard of honour,R.A.F style, I know I know I married a brylcreme boy, even though all my forbears were army.
We actually married on camp in Germany, with the camp vicar holding the service, and Roly's squadron leader gave me away. He couldn't wait to get rid of me. LOL

Pauline,

It was my best man and I that picked the date for my wedding.

We were doing our usual daft stuff and being called out to go all over the place. We decided we needed a date that would not be forgotten and one that be might just allow us a window of opportunity to complete all the proceedings ie. Stag Party Night, Wedding Day and a brief honeymoon, a week at most.

The date.....8/8/68

We managed everything and even had lads in uniform for a Guard of Honour. Complete I might add with rifles. Try doing that now.

I don't have any grey hairs ............not after I've put my colour on.

Dermot Report 20 Nov 2010 17:48

Never complain about going grey. Ask any bald-headed person!

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 20 Nov 2010 17:46

My husband says it's my fault he's got grey hairs, because he didn't have any before he married me. I have to remind him that he was only 21 when he married me.

Change......want a laugh ?

We had our wedding photo next to our telephone.....a local came to use our phone.......looked at the photo......then at my wife.....wondering.....

'That was my first husband' explains my wife'.

Soon the word was out.

' I was a very understanding person, allowing the photo of my wifes first marriage to remain on display'

Yep! I've changed beyond recognition since I got married. ROFL

Stephen2009 Report 20 Nov 2010 16:59

Pauline,

I've not changed.

Still as daft as a brush.

It's taken me a while to get back on here, I had to sign in on a very strange page, it looked as though my only choices were 'in box', 'search trees' or 'account'. It took me a while to notice that there was a button in the top right hand corner to take me to the home page. I've had to enlarge everything as well because I could hardly see the writing.

Every time I come on I find something else has changed.

Shelly, your son's girlfriend must have a very uncomfortable ride home at night........LOL

Stephen2009

Stephen2009 Report 20 Nov 2010 16:11

AAAAHHHHHH !

Danish pastry and coffee........just what I need.

Having a few minutes respite before I tackle something else to round off my busy day.

Not so much to do tomorrow.....then off for tea with my grandaughters.

Will catch you later......if you don't get too busy with the telly.

Had a quick look at my 'Moon' timepiece...........Full Moon tomorrow............

HEhehehehehehehehehehehe.........my favourite time.........Fangs out.

During the forthcoming festive season, the expression ‘never again’ is a regular phrase.

Why do we bother saying it when we know full well from past experiences that we will more than likely do the same things again the following year. It's nearly as bad as 'I've learnt my lesson'.

Meaningless twaddle.

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 20 Nov 2010 14:30

Oooooh, lovely Mo, what a good idea, I'll have a Danish with my coffee.

Shelly that must have been a really nasty fall to break his arm in 3 places, hope he didn't cry in-front of his girlfriend. Trust Mo to think of him wiping his bum......lol

I've just had a letter from Northumbria police, caught on camera doing over 30mph.
