Jean I am so pleased with your news. I thank the lord for that good news. It must be a big weight off your mind and in time for Christmas as well.you can really enjoy it now.
I wont know how mine is till I have another scan , in three months time. mine is not curable but I am hoping they keep it down. for a few years.
I am pleased you have got that path cleared Stephen. Is your weather still very bad. ?some of the film they showed on tonights News was shocking all a round the country. I wonder if this means we will have a hot summer ? lol
I was waching the ship "HMS Ark Royal " it made me want to cry all that ship had been through and they are speaking of breaking it up or selling it to one of the countries abroad.. why can they not keep it a float ? even if they dock it as they did the Victory and keep it for people to view .I am sure it would be of interest to many people .interested in British history.
SAVE OUR SHIP HMS ARK ROYAL. I think our Governments sell us off to the countries around the world industries , and ships and planes. they want money and when they have it they squander it. it makes me sick
sorry I will get off my soapbox now.
Did anyone on here go to" Hyde park Corner "when they had speakers corner people got up on the soap boxes and debated things It use to be fun Sunday mornings standing there listening to all the argurments and the heckling that took place was woderful.it didnt matter to people what they spoke abou.t ? it use to get packed out. you met the same people everyweek.

Jean I am so pleased for you. That is a lovely bit of news just before Christmas Thank you I will celebrate with a glass of champagne, not that I drink normally, as you all know. I'll have a party pie with Pauline, as you should always have a little something to eat when you drink.
More parcel wrapping tonight. And then I'll try to do some research, I Think.
Have a lovely evening Jean and anyone else who looks in.
Linda :o) XxX

Rita, I LOL at you going into the wrong house in the fog, just as well you knew your neighbours well.
I'm pleased to hear your family got the money you sent. I don't often send money in the post, the most I've sent is £30 to my nephew's little girl.

I get the feeling Dermot's wife isn't a member of Genes, if she was...........he'd be getting a clip round the ear now.
Stephen, Mo and I are still pure as the driven snow...........if you don't count husbands.

Jean, that's brilliant news, I'm over the moon for you. What a relief it must be to finally hear them say that. You've been through the mill lately but I bet you feel it was all worth it now.

What’s all this about Russian spies working as MP’s research assistants? Is that how Moscow won the World Cup venue?
Anyway, Russia should stop wasting time & money in stealing our nuclear secrets. To conquer UK on the cheap, they should just dump loads of snow here. Everything would be paralysed more efficiently & thoroughly - plus the evidence would disappear in due course.
Talking about snow, I must remember to plug-in my electric blanket. Come to think of it, if electric blankets were invented earlier, I wouldn't have bothered getting married.

Ladies,
I thought your minds sere as pure as the driven snow I've just be shovelling........ all NINE INCHES of it.
Tut, tut.
Well I managed it. Can now see where the driveway is.
The outside of the house has trenches like WW1.
Everywhere I need to go I have had to dig to get there.
Getting worried about the weight of snow on my garage roof. The roof is substantial, I built it, but the snow is about 3ft deep on it. A lot of weight.
Clear sky now and the temperature looks set to go down to about -10C overnight.
The wee birds are emptying their feeders like billyo. I can hardly keep up with them.
Time for a rest now before tea.
Catch you later.

Pauline it is so funny to see your little face by your name again the dollar sign ears must have come from the States. Lol I had an email from my daughter a few minutes ago on Satueday a friend took all my parcel and Cards over to the Post Office for me. she was going so took my stuff as well. I had a large envelope with money in for my Great Grandchildren 11 of them I never send cash but this time I did so worried whether they would get it ? they got it at 2 this afternoon amazing it went second class post. it went from Surrey to London..
Mo I brought my Take a Break this morning it is the Christmas addition I didnt get the Chat last week was the two weeks in one.so is your last weeks ?
My key board is driving me up the wall more letters have vanished now soon I will be typing with no letters ? I have not been out to buy another one yet but that will be my first job.
I have the foot clinic tomorrow so hope we dont get bad weather.
Mo you spoke of the peas soupers we use to get thick fog. I was working in London just off Oxford Street for " Segal Feres "and I was let off earlier as it was a bad this was in about the 46 I got off the train at Dolis Hill and made my way home feeling the wall and fences as I went it was really bad the worst I had been out in. I managed to get to our street and counted the doors along as I went because it wa dark by then I pushed the door open (we didnt bother with locking door in those days) and went in up the stairs to my bedroom to change out of my clothes as they were wet and black spots on through the fog , and realised I was not in my house at all I was in the house next door our neighbours since 1936. I crept down the stairs and met Mrs Mower on the way up I told her what I had done she made me a cup of tea and we laughed about it. I was always getting ribbed about it from my family and neighbours.Mum said didnt you see their wallpaper i said no I didnt look I was more interested in getting ouy of my wet clothes. I could tell you many tales about those pea soupers we use to have.

I've seen some supple people but I've never seen anything like that before. I used to feel sick because my sister could bend her thumb back to touch her arm with it.

Not my breakfast Pauline, but my lunch. The pelvic bone is very outstanding I must say. A waxing job wouldn't have gone amiss, let alone Veet. No wonder she had that thick leotard on,and tights to cover the hairy legs. LOL
