Hello, hope you have all had a good day. Thank you for all the lovely messages, I dont think it has quite sunk in what they told me yesterday. Have had a great day, not done very much, took my Grandaughter to see Father Christmas, dont think she was very impressed, tried to pull his beard. Are you all ready for Christmas? I am going to make a start tomorrow, shopping for presents, normally I have finished by now, but couldn't seem to get going this year. Going to do tea now, Take care and stay safe. Jean xx

My oh my, I leave you lot for a few hours, and what happens, I miss all the gossip. Hi ya Marilyn, good to see you home again for a week. Glad you got the card o.k, I posted all of them at the same time, but some are taking a time to arrive. Watch out when you get out of your bath, Stephen is on the prowl, he says "Fluffy Paws" is on stand by, but it's him in disguise, he's waiting to whip your towel away, and see your sun tan.
Stephen, my darts are huge enough. They used to belong to the Assagai tribe, they used them as spears, with poison tips on them. No one gets in my way when it is my shot, just in case they get more piercings than they want.
I have been back to the dentists again this afternoon. I have yet another lot of inflamation in my gum. She may have to refer me to the dental surgeon at the hospital. A crown I had done, some years ago, seems have got an infection in the roots, causing the problems. She cant do the root canal treatment I will need,as I have to have the crown removed, and the treatment done, and then the crown replaced. The root canal treatment was done before I had the crown fitted, so I have no idea how this infection has occured. I hope she does refer me,as I seem to be spending more time at the dentists than I need to,and I want this sorted out. I am losing faith in her now. Going to start dinner in a bit, bangers +mash and beans tonight. It will be like the windy city here tonight. See ya's later.

Dermot they didnt make a mistake they were mince pies for the mice.
Pauline you can keep your snow or send it to Russia.
I had to go to the foot clinic this morning it was bitterly cold out , the bus stop usually have a timetable working letting you know where the bus was . and when due. but it was not working. I waited 15 minutes.it was empty when it came and cold I swear there was no heating on. The bus had not been cleaned either there were old chips on the floor and papers and someone had dropped a bottle of drink., I got there on time to the clinic . When I came out, I walked to the bus stop which is on a hill and it was bitterly cold , I stood there 29 minutes nothing passed me. then a bus on the otherside of the road pulled up and the driver leaned out and said sweetheart it is too cold you standing there you have to go around to the Garage as nothing is coming up that side of the road due to a barrier failure. There was no ice explaining anything. so walked , it took me 20 minutes. I was freezing when the bus came. at the stop as I got off was a sheet of ice. it was like an ice rink so I walked in the road till I had passed the ice. I was so glad to get back home and in the warm

Morning everyone, hope we are all warm and well.
Jean must be walking on air this morning. Lovely.
Very clear and crisp this morning. At least I can see to the end of the road this morning. lol
Gonna put me shoes on and take Charlie out for a pee. Then off to work.
I think this thread is being divided by the drinkers and non-drinkers. We are social drinkers and are being blasted as dipsomaniacs. pmsl
Stay safe out there.
See you later.

Good moning everyone. it is cold but no snow O perhaps I should not have said that ? Stephen those poor reindeer.s have so much work a head of them with Santa doing his rounds. see if you can get some Husky dogs to pull her Sleigh instead. it will be fun for her and the dogs will go walkies.
Jean I can see your on top of the world this morning you are up early and already cooking for everyone. you can walk about and whistle now. not too loud as those Husky might pull Mrs Stephens away from him and he wont like that ?
Marilyn must be home now ? well at the airport they will be going through her cases to see all the goodies she brought back with her.
Pauline Mo is too excited to see what Marilyn has brought her back I think she brought her some warm in in her suit case.
Pauline hope your have a day with no more snow ? your beable to go out and Brent will beble to go to his day centre.
see you later

Morning All !
Thanks for the breakfast Jean.....good for my waistline !
Cold out last night and even colder this morning -13C. Glad I'm not a Brass Monkey. And if anyone wonders where that saying came from....it's an old Naval one.
No more snow thank goodness....the shovel needs a rest.
Getting the skis out later to go to the Village shop for a couple of things. And anyway it's gonna be a lovely bright morning and I want to play in the snow.
Mrs Stephens car is due it's MOT but the garage I go to is snowed in, so no can do. Better get her a sleigh and a couple of reindeer.
Have a good day ya all.....catch you later.

Morning everyone. Jean I can't tell you how thrilled I am at your good news, yippeee. The breakfast is lovely, thanks for scrambled eggs and toast, it was lovely to get here before it all went cold. I am never normally here till late, so I miss out on all the goodies. The news is a lovely early christmas present for us all. Onwards and upwards now my love.
Nobody missed me last night, boo hoo. I was at darts, and we won 4-2 and 2-1. When we left the house there was freezing fog outside,we had to drive extra slowly as it was so dangerous .
Have a good day everyone, take care if you have to go out to work, also those of us who are retired, stay warm and cosy indoors. Luv Mo xxx

Morning all.
Hi Liz, haven't seen you for a while, hope you're keeping well........you're up late.
Bet you had a good sleep last night Jean, thanks for the lovely breakfast.
Maddie, I think the only people on this thread who drink (apart from you) are Marilyn and myself, oh, and Sue when she's around. Don't know about Pat or Dermot, do you drink Pat?
I know Shelly, Mo and Linda never touch the stuff ..........such good girls!
Rita and Stephen (and I think Jean) only have a drink on a special occasion, not sure about Yvonne or Lady.
I get the feeling we'd never be able to work out if Dermot was drunk or sober ..........LOL
Stephen, you were spot on............women don't like drunken men!!
LOL at Rita's reply to Dermot's post about his marriage ...........and then at Stephen's PS to Rita.
