Stephen I see your bragging, 9 inches indeed. . I suppose it is because the icicles are melting so the size is reducing..

Mo I manged to open that PM perhaps it is because they need time to settle in the post box LOl

Has anyone got the decorations up yet indoors. ? my youngest son informed me they have their outside ones up and they get all lite up at night, . mind you they dont go overboard with them.. some of the homes in Norfolk people use to try and outshine each other, it go so that. cars would drive out in the dark around the streets to look and take photos of the houses and Bungalows.

No stargazing tonight for me.

There is a slight mist hanging around that has put paid to seeing anything except the brightest stars and they are all fuzzy anyway.

I suppose I'll need to content myself with something else.

Gotya ! Maddie,

Not only do I have a big Icile Sword I also have a NINE INCH weapon.

You never noticed it....., you were to busy with your thrust and parry to notice my nine inch weapon in my left hand. ROFL

MotownGal Report 7 Dec 2010 20:29

Eveing All. Hope we are all well and warm.

On guard Stephen, I will parry and thrust. Then knock your block off. I used to strip the Iris plants when I was a kid, and play sword fights with them. Didnt go down a bundle I can tell you.

Welcome home Marilyn, cant wait until you are on British time tomorrow and you can tell me what you have brought back for me. I'm thinking maybe something sparkly.

Dermots guinea pig lasted a long time. Although very sad for you, it was a good age. Our kids had hamsters, and they died regularly. They were all golden, and called Julie, for some reason.

Work was very quiet today. I think the credit crunch is hitting us bad. Instead of quality, people are looking for a cheaper alternative. Makes sense, but does us no good.

It was bitterly cold today, and didnt fancy the idea of walking home with the shopping. I got about a quarter of the way home, and Kevin had come out to meet me and carry the shopping home for me. Thank goodness. I do suffer from poor circulation in my hands, and carrying bags in the cold makes my fingers go white. Sad eh.

Gonna have a cuppa, and be back later.

See ya all.

Rita, I don't know what happened with the p.m, it has gone from my sent box. Well it shows that the p.m has been opened, so I really don't know what has been occuring.

Mommy,

I spent so much of my life in the freezing cold I much prefer it to searing heat.

I disliked my times in the deserts.

The 'coldest' night I slept out was -27C. Fine...no wind .Even my couple of fresh eggs had frozen solid.

But the 'coldest' night I ever spent out was at about -5C...wind about 40-50mph lying in the open at 4000ft. Positively baltic.Sleeping gear encased in ice. Yep ! That was a cold one.

Ok.....so now you know I'm really crazy.

What we do for Queen and Country eh !

I have forgotten to ask for addresses, for me to send christmas cards to
some of our friendlies. If you would rather not confide your addresses, I will understand.

Oooh Stephen, you are soooooo brave, heading out into the wild blue yonder, to take Mrs Stephen's car for it's medical. LOL
Seriously, I am envious of you braving the cold and snow, I am like Pat, and would like to stay indoors till the sun starts to shine again.
By the way, your christian name was my maiden name, and when I write it, I am transported back in time, oh so many moons ago, when I was but a child.

Dermot....Sorry about your loss....is 7 old for a Guinea Pig ?

Patricia....swop you places.....we're at -12C just now......will go down to around -16C at dawn tomorrow....that's freezing.

Wrap up well and it's fine outside.

Saying that though there is still nothing to beat a cosy night in with a good book and a nice wee fire burning to toast the feet at.

Managed to get Mrs Stephens car to the Garage for MOT. The garage was snowed in but a farmer cleared it for Craig the owner. Won't know anything for a few days....the MOT tester is snowed in at home. LOL

It has been glorious here today and I enjoyed my ski trip to the village shop for a couple of things. All the hills turned pink again as the sun set.

Catch you later !

Have yourself a nice hot drink Pat, you'll soon warm up. Marilyn is our water baby, she has her bath every morning, and does not like a shower.
Now me, I like my bath of a night time, all nice and refreshed ready for my bed.
See you later love. Mo

Jean, you can now relax, and enjoy the season of good will.
Children either like or dislike father christmas don't they. Two of our lot screamed the place down when they were taken to see him, but the rest of them were so excited, they thought he was the pucker thing.
Don't buy all the shops up tomorrow, and wear yourself out.

Night night Marilyn, have a good rest.
