God Maddie you must have high ceilings with a 7ft tree. We put our tree and decs up a few days ago. Just glad to get it over and a done with really. Christmas is not Christmas, without children waking in the early hours, full of excitement, running down the stairs to see if Santa had been. Our Christmas really starts at tea time, when the whole family descend on us. It's a bit of a squeeze with the 25 of us, but I love it.

Mommy I am very touched that you were worried about me.
You are right, it was madness. I am really disgusted that the mayhem was all in the name of equality.
I see Shelly has been decorating. We will be getting the boxes out this week end. We have a 7ft tree, and a 2ft one. I think I know which one will be put up. lol
Christmas is all for children. When they are grown it is not the same.
My Mum used to sing a song for us at Christmas, had us in tears.
The little boy that Santa Clause forgot.
Apparently Michael Aspel's Mother used to sing it too. He spoke of it on the Antiques Roadshow.

Thank goodness you are back Maddie. I even checked Auntie Moties thread to see if you were about, then saw that you had had great fun in the MP's flat LOL. It must be madness working in town at this time of year, especially with yesterdays problems, and all the visitors.
Shelly, have you got Santa's grotto sorted for little man. It will be special watching him opening his presents, bless his little cotton socks.

Hello Everyone.
Thank you for your concern Mommy. I am fine.
I work late nights on Thursday. Had shopping to do Thursday morning. Work all day/evening. Got in late, tired. Overslept this morning [have not done that in years] and have just had dinner. So here I am.
Hope everyone is well and warm.
Watched the riots on tv. I think it was disgraceful. The carnage that has been left behind is apalling. Arson, graffitti, damaged builings, broken windows, fighting with the police. I am at a loss to understand what all that disturbance had to do with Education Fees. I notice the ring leaders had masks on. Have the courage of your convictions I say.
The police cannot do right for wrong. If they defend they are in trouble. If they act leniently they are still wrong. I cannot see how they can win.
I will probably be back later. A bit tired, and getting fretful. lol
edit. Thank you for the lovely card Pauline, you are very clever. Yvonnes horse is beautiful. A chestnut. I used to work for Weatherbys. We got to visit stud farms and racecourses. They were wonderful animals.

Hellooooooo where is everybody.
Has anyone heard from Maddie since first thing yesterday morning. It's a bit of a worry, I do hope she was not caught up in the riots yesterday.
Even Stephen is quiet today, thats not like him. Unless of course he's still at work.
I know that Rita has been involved on Chat, in the debate about the student riots yesterday. You go girl, give em what for.
La la la, I am bored talking to myself, think I will go get a cuppa.

Hi everybody, I've been sitting here making an e-card instead of doing all the things that need to be done.
Pat, I couldn't send it to you because I don't have your email address ..............or Dermot's.
I really need to get something done now, I should write my cards out but it takes ages so I keep putting it off. If I leave it any longer they'll be just in time for next year.

Hello everybody. Pauline, I am so sorry to hear about your cat's passing. They leave a big hole in your life when they go, speaking from my experience. We are still sure we hear ours, and often look at the patio doors expecting her to be there.
Rita, I think we can blame Shelly for giving us these colds. She had it first, and passed it onto me, and now you've got it. Please whatever you do, don't drink the spirits, if you are taking the Co-Proximal,we dont want you doing yourself any damage. I wish I was nearer, I would travel around all the pharmacies in the area, and get you some more Paracetamol. Have lots of hot drinks love, and keep warm.
Linda, thank you for the lovely christmas card. It arrived in todays post. What a shame your outing to Windsor had to be cancelled. Still there is always next week as you said, lets keep our fingers crossed that nothing else comes along to spoil it.
Hi Trufflina,Pat, Yvonne, Shelly,Stephen, Dermot.

I did go out I wrapped myself up nice and warm I needed to post some cards and get some paracetmol but they had sold out. would you beleive it ? I have about six left. I still have a box of Co Proximal so if I need then I will have to take those again, you cannot buy those over the counter I have them on a perscription from my doctor, but I try and not take them as they are extra strong and you can overdose on them easily hence not being able to buy over the counter. I have a bottle of Whisky unopened also brandy and rum I use to bring them back when I went abroad on holiday and give them to the family but these three I hung onto incase I needed them. but I am not a drinker only if I am really feeling bad to I have a small glass.

Oh well change of plans: Friend who was our driver has asthma and Dr's appointment, so today is cancelled. Re-arranged for next Thurs, at friends house as I am at a concert in the evening and need to be back early to get to Farnham. We will exchange gifts and share lunch there.
Sorry about your cat Pauline. Never a good time, but at least you won't be worrying about it being out in the snow and not coming home. Was Brent fond of it? If so he will be upset too. Hope he is able to get to the Day Centre as normal and giving you both a break and change of scenery.
Hope you feel better soon Rita, nice of your friend to get the Fish & Chips and you can stay in the warm and not have to worry.
Linda :O) XxX

Hi Marilyn, we haven't buried him yet, the garden is still under a lot of snow, it's probably still frozen underneath as well.
We've wrapped him up and put him in the garage, we'll try to find a place tomorrow after some of the snow melts.
Edit: for spelling mistake (burred should have been buried) tuts.

Rita, stay warm and have plenty of hot drinks, it might stop you from getting any worse.
Enjoy your fish and chips today, we had them last night. I didn't feel like cooking because I was a bit upset about the cat, so hubby said he'd get fish and chips on his way home from work.
