Yvonne, we got her 14 months ago from a greyhound rescue kennels. She is absolutely adorable, loving, affectionate and crazy. Great with the grandchildren as well, we couldn't be without her now. Have had dogs in past but had a break while our children were growing up as couldn't devote enough time to a dog as well. I'm so glad we decided to get another but she is the first greyhound we've had, I'm certain she won't be the last.

Mrs Stephen is preparing to go out on her Voluntary Work just now.

She does a 'nightshift' every fourth week......11pm to 5am.

This time of year means she is usually busy with folks problems

I get up when she comes in at around 5.30am so that she has a good
sleep.

She's my wee angel and I love her to bits.

I have 2 Sundays at work. I don't normally work on a Sunday but the extra money is welcome, I work for a large toy store and i'm glad I don't work there every weekend, loads of screaming kids!!!

mind you I look after 30 kids at lunchtimes, most of them are lovely but theres a little group of boys who are little horrors

Cath your dog sounds lovely, have you had her from a puppy?

Forget the Savoy, I've always fancied going to Claridges!

MotownGal Report 11 Dec 2010 21:40

I dunno really. I just like a soft Scottish accent. Not a harsh Glaswegian one that I cannae understand.

My OH's parents came from Sunderland, and he has a slight lift to his voice too.

So, are we all up for the Savoy next week. You know I scrub up pretty well. I have had my hair cut recently, and have a dress I can wear. Will need to fish out a pair of heels, I wear flats at work. But I can be ready at a drop of a hat. Or a thong.
lol

Coooooooooooooooooooooooeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Hello everyone. Welcome Catherine. Can we call you Cathy. Good luck Pat going by National Express. We went to Sunderland on that. An 8 hour journey, with no heating and a toilet that didnt lock or flush. Sheer delight.

Been up the West End again this morning. The police presence up there was very tight. I have never seen so many coppers in fluorensent jackets for a long, long time. Still, all good.

Got nothing again. I will keep my money for the Sales I think.

Are we going for a trip Stephen in a stretch limo. Just to celebrate Christmas you know. A night out will do us all good. The Savoy has just been renovated. I can highly recommend it. I do like a bit of posh now and again. Can we take a guest. I quite fancy David Tennant [another Scot, do we see a pattern forming here I wonder] And yes, I was a bit sleepless last night. I went to bed and had about 4 hours sleep. Not enough.

It is my last Sunday at work before Christmas. I dont want to do any more in the next couple of weeks, it will be bedlam. People get sooooo short tempered and ratty. I cant bear it. Especially as I have to smile and be charming. Not hard I know. 'head swells'

Hope everyone is well and war. Sorry about your parents again, but I guess being in hospital is the best place for constant supervision. Your Mum must be upset. I wish her well.

See ya later.

Maddie

PatriciaAnn Report 11 Dec 2010 21:24

Catherine,
I'm going to Horndean.
I catch the coach 11.25am and I'll get to the Hard at about 5pm.
There's an 45 min break at Bournmouth coach station.. It'll be manic. I expect extra coaches wll be laid on.
I'll pass on the bike ride even though I like Born to be wild by Steppenwolf!
