Hello !
Am I on the right Thread ?
'Willy'.....'Nipples'
Dame Shelly.......tut, tut.
Are you all speaking French or Italian yet ?
Why is it that nearly all adverts just now are foisted on us with terrible accents.......and those guys with 'designer stubble' need a good shave.
My wife cracks up when I have my 'designer stubble'
It's well below freezing here......that's fine.....as long as the dreaded snow stays away.
Well it's time for supper, gonna have a bit of toast and cheese..
Catch you later.

The snow laid all around deep and crisp and even. that is the scene here at the moment. it looks a picture .
Looks like I will be here on my own over Christmas. after all. ?there is no way my family can drive here in this . they have to come past Heathrow and that road is murder at this minute. If the snow is better nearer Christmas day I will be alright but no way will I let them drive in this.
I have sent all my cards off two birthday cards I have to post off for Chrstmas day, every year I put my little christmas tree up and decorate it. this year I didnt feel well enough to do that but I will try and do it in the next few days..
Pat I am pleased you enjoyed the dinner.
Stephen I saw the snow on the news in Aberdeen they certainly have it bed there.. I hope they mange to get home they will be freezing stuck out in their cars and lorries in the open and freezing weather .
Yvonne I hope your horses are well potected . poot animals in the open in this weather I feel really sorry for all those wild ponies on Dartmoor.

We haven't had any snow today either, plenty of ice though, it's bitter cold.
Marilyn, that must have been a shock for you all, pleased it was nothing serious though. You need to pamper him a bit now .............but not too much, he might get to like it ;o)
Rita, that's good news about your son-in-law, things are looking up for your family, you'll all be able to enjoy your Christmas now.
Linda, that's so sad about that young man who you looked after, tragic for something like to happen to someone so young. His parents must be in a right state, and very sad for you as well.
Wonder if Maddie is enjoying a nice cup of tea.
I went shopping this afternoon, it was heaving.

I wonder if Maddie and Cath have survived their day at work. I don't suppose Maddie will worry to much once she gets a couple of cups of tea down her throat. LOL

Rita that is such good news about your son in law. You can all now relax and enjoy Christmas. As both you Jean and Marilyn all know, they don't give you the all clear for years after treatment has finished, but god willing for all of you, the end outcome will be good.
Hi Pat, glad you enjoyed your Christmas dinner. Did you get a secret santa gift.
Stephen, thank goodness you are both o.k. Who's a lucky boy then getting away without any snow. I think we got your share here in Kent. No it's not to bad at the moment actually, but we have been warned it COULD be worse tomorrow. Thank the lord I did my big shop yesterday, wev'e got enough bread and milk to last us through till at least Wednesday. So we wont go hungry or thirsty.

SORRY !
Been missing from the 'action' for a wee while !
All ok with us here......been giving a friend a bit of assistance....thankfully his troubles are easing now.
NO SNOW.....great news so far. It's the North of Scotland that's getting hammered just now.
Gonna catch you all later.
Marilyn, sorry to hear about Hubby. It's always seemingly a lot worse if you have never had any illness. Pete will need to ease up a bit possibly.. HBP....doesn't mean HUGE BUM PAIN through sitting on it too long......better to do a bit than sit on your bum becoming morose. I'm sure you'll get your Whip out if needed Marilyn. Be good to Pete.

Marilyn thank goodness that got sorted , good job it happened before Christmas day otherwise he might have had a long wait at A & E. I take it you went to" The Norfolk and Norwich Hospital "?
we have thick snow here now it started after dinner time and just kept falling down it is laying thick on the ground now
I have good news my son in Law's operation went well last June they said they are thrilled to bits with his progress they have got rid of the cancer but they cannot give him the all clear but no more treatment is needed only a blood test every 9 weeks for a blood count then in a years time a scan Brett drove them to London to the hospital coming back my d aughter said it was snowing so hard they could not see a hand in front of them. Heathrow was so icy and lots of traffic. My nephew flew into Heathrow this morning from Washing DC he had been at the airport for 12 hours before they found him a flight from Washington to Heathrow my sister said he had a cooked breakfast and fell into bed exhausted. It is her birthday tomorrow so I am pleased Martin made it to England.
My throat is still sore and I feel like sh,t at the moment still I have not got to go out .. I had some more cards from people I didnt send any too. one pair I thought they were dead. so have had no contact for two years, they still live in Heron Kent. so that came out of the blue.. I am off now have a cup of tea and feel sorry for myself.
Love Rita

Oh Yvonne I read that as piddled !!!
Snow fallen and settled not much but very cold.
Called off going to friends tonight huibby looking in the freezer for dinner now. Our friend has taken an hour and a half to get from Heathrow to his home nearly twice as long as usual. He also said his estate was very icy and he had slid on a roundabout. So we have decided to stay put.
Take care if any of you have to go out
Hope Stephen is OK maybe his internet is down with more snow?

Oh god what a fright you must have all had Marilyn. But the B.P was probably up because of the worry that Pete was going through. I am pleased it was just indigestion though. But sometimes it's hard to distinguish the difference, between that and a heart attack. Roly thought he had a chest infection when he had his, even though he had the pains in his chest and down his left arm. Silly thing he never even woke me up, he just waited till I woke by myself. As soon as I saw him, I called an ambulance. Honest men, what would we do with them, or come to that, without them.
Dermot, better to be attacked by a rack of Turkey's, than Hen pecked by a crowd of women.
Still no news from Stephen I see. Lets hope he and Mrs Stephen are o.k.
It's been snowing a blizzard here this morning, and is now laying. That means it's going to be treacherous out there,as it froze under foot last night.
Lets hope Maddie doesn't have to many cups of Tea,and slips over.
Jean, I have warmed up a couple of rashers of bacon and sausages, to have in a sandwich for my lunch, I was to late for breakfast. Never mind, I enjoyed them re-heated just thesame.

Marilyn so sorry to hear Pete had the pain and worry. Thankfully it seems not too much to worry about. Please encourage him to get checked when you get home even if he insists he is fine. We all know what our menfolk are like.
I recieved very sad news yesterday from the Mum of the very first child I cared for. He was about a year younger than my youngest and I started looking after him 23 years ago. He unfortunately had a brain tumor as a pre teenager, but had treatment and was doing well with exams and had just got a job in a school. Well he passed away in his sleep last week, no suspicious circumstances. The funeral was yesterday. Before I got a message from her. She must be heart broken after all he had achieved.
We have had snow in the last hour. Luckily we were back from the dentist. I had a long filling and had to have anaestetic which I usually avoid. But I am OK.
Be back later.

Hi All,
Been in panic mode the last 48hrs !!
Pete had chest pains that has been going around all of his body......so A&E had a visit !!
He's had all checks done ECG & Blood tests.......no problem just bad indigestion and Blood pressure just a bit high , could be to do with the stress of the last 48hrs of wondering why he was in so much pain. He's back from hospital with his pride hurt ...as he think he's super man having never taken any pills , so now looks like he might have to take blood pressure tablets. A&E told him to visit his GP in Plymouth when we get back......so we are all back together as family grand kids were worried Grampy might have to stay in Hospital for the Christmas, and my Son was very concerned as he whipped him up to the Hospital.
Now all is peaceful.....
Just to let you all know.....be back later..

I was attacked by a rafter of turkeys hanging around outside the Butcher's shop this morning.
It seems I upset them when I wished them a Happy Christmas. I reported them to the police for their aggressive cackling & was promised that every effort would be made to have them plucked, stuffed & cooked by Christmas Day.
