Pauline,

Thanks for the 'touch up' on the photo.

But that Linford Christie 'box' looks a bit out of place on me.

MotownGal Report 19 Dec 2010 09:07

Good Morning everyone.

What a morning. I think a bit more snow has fallen overnight. We are not used to it here. Shock to the old system.

Where I live is on the corner, then there is a main road where they is a division of Councils. One side of the road, Camden, the other Islington. Funny isnt it. Islington is not as wealthy as Camden, but Islington salt all their roads, while Camden just dont bother. I slipped and slid all the way to Camden Town yesterday. It was quite strange yesterday when I came out of Sainsbugs. It was swirling so much, I couldnt see more than a couple of feet in front of me. [Sorry I havent gone metric yet]

I can sympathis with your husband Linda. Mum's birthday was 20th Dec. people used to sidle up with a present, and say 'this is for both your birthday AND Christmas'. SO unfair. I used to have to buy her card in October, as there were none in the shops in December. Do they think babies are not born in December. We all know there are plenty born in September, 9 months after Christmas. lol

Can Pauline send me the re-touched photos. I do like a bit of colour. If you wanna colour me sitting on the chair, that would be great. I was blonde, I have green eyes, the outfit was grey check with yellow trimmings.

Hope everyone is well and warm.
Take care

see you later.

Hopefully it gets no worse today. The family are supposed to come to celebrate hubby's birthday. No wonder he has an intense dilike of Christmas and the winter months. He has missed out so many times over the years.
ie Extra big presents to cover both occaisions NOT
Meals out frequently Christmas fare
Cancellations
People doing other things (more important)
I am only just begining to see these things from his point of view.

Mind you my birthday is usually around Easter, so do I miss anything, no luckily I don't think so.

Glad I could help on the flowers Rita.

I had to finish the last item on here as I lost all the top icon so had to do my magic to get them back.

I agree also about gay couples being treated the same. the only thing I have to disagree on . and I have always said the same thing when people own Hotels surely they are entittled to accept whoever they want to into that hotel?. I am fed up hearing do gooders saying what someone else should do.. many Hotel will not take groups of young men. because of causing trouble drinking and making a party in their rooms which disturbe their regular guests. Many Hotels try to do the best they can for guest who go to the same Hotel every year. I have been to Hotels where we had young men in rooms above us and we have had no sleep. Some Hotel will not take young children so there are many Hotels you can look around for and book into.

sorry if I have offended but that is the way I feel. (I have lost my gold star now. )

Hi Linda they were Baby Breaths

Shelly when they have travelling Vickers they often cannot get to the church .so they dont open the doors( some of the little villiges have shared vickers they travel around from church to church. as there is a lot of pilffering going on they lock the church doors until the service takes place then lock it again_. I dont know what they do in London ?

There is a little Church in Perivale Ealing it is a small church( my daughter married in there.I have the booklet somehwere ?all about it.)

They use to have to get to it by boat and the vicker rowed to the church they had little cubby holes for the lepers to sit at the service.

Stephen I was about to grass on you to Mrs Stephen when I saw the 'beached whale' bit, but then I saw ... "She has stood the test of time. Looks as young as ever to me. And I could never love a substitute the way I do her." and I thought ...ahhhhh, that's lovely.

Linda, I've had an under-active thyroid for about 5 years now, well, 5 years that I've known of. I take thyroxine to keep it in check.

Mo is like the rest of us ....................thick skinned.

Dermot, I'm with Shelly on that one, nobody has the right to judge a person because they are gay. We are what we are, be it straight, gay, disabled, black, white ..............it's the way we're born, God made us that way.

It was the anniversary of my mum's passing on the 12th of december, and it will be mum in laws on the 27th.
We tend not to go to the crem very often these days, just have flowers at home for them by their photo's, as they were always comfortable in our home.

Stay warm and safe everyone.

Oh dear, sorry Mommy, no offence meant.

I could have been an Essex gel meself, if my Mum had agreed to move to Basildon when I was a kid. But, she wouldnt go. lol

We now have a frost coming down to make the snow even more icy. What a joy.

We were going to the Crem. today, but the snow put paid to that. It would have been Mums' birthday on Monday. But will try and get there next week sometime. Just as long as it is before Christmas, it will be fine.

Gonna do precisely nothing tonight. I got frozen stiff this morning.

See ya later.
