I think it would be a bit uncomfortable sitting on my skates so I'll leave them at home and bring a tray to sit on. Do we need to bring a blanket?

Edit: Mo, I've got some salopettes (well, Brent has), so I'll put them on with my ski socks.

Stephen2009 Report 20 Dec 2010 17:28

Pauline,

Can you strap them on your bum ?

Jean, it is to be a surprise trip tomorrow, only Stephen knows.
The last time he took us to his own special dream island, and it was wonderful.

Pauline, I've got my grandma's bloomers out, and grandads long johns, we must keep ourselves warm, we never know where we will end up.
Ooooh just had a thought, perhaps we are of to see Santa in Lapland.
I just hope Stephen has got the biggest sleigh possible, for all our Christmas presents.
Where did you get the ski socks from. No don't tell me it was a Ski sock shop.

I haven't got any woolly draws, I'll have to get Linda or Mo to knit some for me tonight.

I've got ice-skates Stephen, will that do?

The good thing about talking to yourself is that you can agree with everything that's being said!!!

I got some ski socks today, so I'm going to have warm feet tomorrow when we go out with Stephen.

The people at the sorting office deserve a medal for delivering my post today. I got 6 cards and not one of them had the right address on. A few had everything spelt wrong, a couple had Sunderland on instead of Washington, and one was unbelievable ............the only thing it had right was our name and the number of our door. God knows how they knew where to deliver it.

Stephen, we aren't going to have it as cold as you, our temperature is going to drop to -12°C tonight. I'm just hoping we don't get any more snow.

Glad you managed to get your DIL home and get yourselves back home safely Mo.

Dermot, I thought you were going to say it was your wife that had her hands in your pockets.

Pat, our snow was too dry to make a snowman or snowballs ...............I tried.

Rita, I knew the police could fine anyone who didn't clear the snow off their car. They have to be able to see the number plate and it could be dangerous if it fell off the roof onto the windscreen.

Hope everyone who's out, manages to get back home safely.

I tried to do some shopping today but spent most of the time queuing to get in and out of car parks.

In a few of the shops I went into, the queues were so long at the checkout that I just put the things back on the shelves and left.

Good luck with your darts Mo.

Marilyn, I hope everything's alright with Pete, please try to get back on and tell us how he is. I've got my fingers crossed that it's nothing too serious.

Dermot as long as your hands are out of your pocket your safe. I am not sure you are with HMRC though
perhaps they need warm hands.

My sister went into London this morning to collect a parcel and she said she was suprised it was clear.
where she lives in Hampstead it was thick snow and ice.

I am going to have a cup of tea and watch a chick film on TV . thats what one of my sons calls them

Helloo, I made it back from my expedition, future D.I.L dropped of safetly at home.
The main roads are pretty clear, but it's our side roads that are the problem.

Hi Dermot, not ignoring you,I am listening. We are always green, with all the re-cycling we do. It's just this white stuff thats laying on top our our green that's cheesing me of.

Pat we had loads of snow we cleared from the car, and drive you could have built your snowman with.
Have a safe journey home after work.

I will try and pop back later,as I have got darts tonight.

Dermot

Dermot Report 20 Dec 2010 15:20

Advice given on the radio today saying you should take your hands out of your pockets when walking in the snow.

Of course, my hands are not the only ones in my pockets as HMRC can confirm.

Patricia.....

What a shame......you could maybe have pelted the Boss as part of the fun.

How far to walk to work ? What you may need is a Motorised Sledge if this weather continues.

Home sharp today before it gets dark.

Temperature here is going to really plummet tonight. As low as -18C.

Hope all is well with Pete and Marilyn.

Catch you all later.
