Hi everyone well Christmas day draws near. the children are looking forward to their presents .
Thats what it is all about for the children and presents.to see their little faces light up when they open them. I shall miss that this year.

I sent my Granddaughters OH his birthday card for Christmas day so I hope he recieved it ? I usually hand it too him but not going there this year posted it off to him. it will upset me if he didnt get it.

My sister sent me and email . which she was told was delayed . she sent
another and that was the same she managed to do another . which I received and guess what ? the other two arrived together.I told her the staff must have been drinking lol

She is going to midnight mass tonight with her son Martin.
she said it is bitterly cold where she is.but she has sorted all the food out for tomorrow so she only has to put it on the cooker.
I am thinking of all of you now all busy and tomorrow even rushing a round.sorting things out.
I hope you all have a lovely dinner and lots of laughter and dont over eat.

Just been helping son wrap the kids Christmas pressies and now relaxing for a bit with a glass of wine .....hmm early I know but we were going to the pub but decided against it as its too chilly out there.

Afternoon to my friends here
Sorry I wasn't around this morning. Still not quite right. But daughter came round to clean her car unexpectedly. Hubby helped her. Then we made up the spare bedroom for his father to stay................ not planned but the children wanted to see him on Boxing Dy when they are all here.
He has gone to work now. Won't be home til nearly midnight again
FFound I slept through most of yesterday. So I now have to clean through and sort out food for Boxing Day.
The last post has been delivered, so anything now won't be here til mid week well after Christmas Day eh.

I hope you are feeling a little better Rita, also you too Jean and that Christmas Day will be OK for you both.
I too will probably look in, not sure when as Hubby needs to take me to DIL's siater when he goes to work, He needs to leave around 1:00, but will hopefully finish earlier than 10:30 !!! Weather permiting. Everything keeps changing, so nothing can be really planned except that he is off on Boxing Day luckily.

Hllo Jean I didnt know you had horses.? see you learn something everyday.

I do have MSN but dont use it now. they started throwing notices up on the monitoer r and I had trouble geting rid of them , so I dont use it now although they do from time to time throw a message out.but I ignore it.

I sorted out my dinner tomorrow Chicken and todays dinner is on. so I am truly organized,
so you look after yourself it is a nice Christmas for you with the good news. so that is a blessing.,

Hello everyone.
Well the Gammon is cooked, so is the stuffing, just waiting for the Tukey Crown and the Three Bird roast to cook..
The house feels like sauna, it's so hot in here. Not satisfied with that, Roly felt cold. so he put the central heating on.
If I don't lose a couple of pounds today, through sweating, it will be a miracle.
I will still be popping in and out today, to speak to you all. I need the break away from the oven, to cool down a bit.

I feel so sad that both Jean and Rita will be own their own this christmas,and apart from when my gang turn up tomorrow, I will try and pop in to say hello to you both.

I know it's a little early, but I would like to wish a very Happy Christmas to you all. And may we all have a prosperous,and healthy New Year.

I am late on , I have taken my time with my little jobs. I have had three callers this morning to say Happy Christmas to me.including our Estate Manager whoooooo.

The sun is shining but it is still a sheet of ice outside.

I dont suppose anyone will be on the boards over Christmas so I will also wish you all a very happy Christmas and a Happy Healthy New year for 2011.

A very good morning to all you lovely people.
The big day is nearly upon us and I expect everyone will be busy running around doing last minute bits and bobs today.
Bitterly cold here this morning, still a north easterly wind and quite a strong one too. I hope this wind dies down before wednesday, I don't fancy 13 hours on the ferry if it doesn't!
Am going to prepare all veg today and make stuffing so I don't have to get up too early tomorrow. Hope you all have a good day and stay safe and warm.

Lovely outside tonight. Crisp and clear.

Thermals and Winter Duvet Jacket on, sitting back in my relax chair, looking to things far greater than I can understand or comprehend.

An hours long enough unless there is something special going on.

Oh Stephen that is sad. I suppose your looking for lost reindeers ? Santa

lets then run around the sky till Christmas eve, then you hear the jingle of

his bells ( I did say BELLS ) that is the call to them to come home NOW

He then gets ready for his rounds all the little children put a mince pie

and milk out for him and the reindeers while the dads sit and toast him

with a drink and a drink and a drink then he climbs the stairs to bed

He has been so busy watching Santa do the rounds through his glasses.

My Power Nap !

I sleep soundly......but only for about 4 hours....during that time I am virtually unconscious.....and awake totally refreshed.

But at some point in the day I need to have about 15 minutes shut down to recharge my battery.....and it works...after that I'm ready to go again

Temperatures down to -8C just now.

Clear sky and nearly a full moon.....taking the binoculars outside to go sky watching.....How sad can you get ?

I was just going to log off and then saw 1 come up so took a look

18 I wish I was 18 again with what I know now.I would be worth millions. Lol
I am not going to my daughters she phoned and I told her, I dont feel up to it,. I feel well one minute then need to have a rest she said let me know tomorrow and I can come and collect you. but I dont think I will risk it.?
she will have a house full anyway with her youngest son. and her daughter and hubby and three children then her other son and his four Children I dont know if her youngest son will take his girl friend home.
I have been a widow since 1989 so I should be use to being on my own now.
I shall still cook a good meal with all the trimmings.I have even got a little Christmas pudding I brought that three weeks ago,

She said she would come on Boxing day and see me. I said dont come if there is thick snow and ice. it is very cold out there tonight you can see the glitter on the ice.It would worry me if I thought they were on icy roads. and they have to come past Heathrow and that is normally busy.

Cooee Rita, I am here now.
We had to go and see our grandaughter, it's her 18th birthday today. She has gone out for a meal with the rest of her family now.
Mind you a pair of ice skates would have come in very handy, it was so slippery near their house, we both nearly ended up on the ground a few times.
Are you feeling any better now love.

Stephen are you storing your energy up for when the grandchildren arrive, or is it the excitement of opening your pressies after father christmas has been. That wee sleep must have done you a power of good.

It's really bitterly cold here, and the wind is blowing a gale.

I think a little nap does you the world of good. it gives you the energy to

clean the house.

Rubbish on TV . I hope the managers who arranged the Christmas shedule missed their flights and have to stay in Britian and watch the rubbish they have put on for the Christmas holiday.
