Pat I hope your be feeling better by tomorrow I know how you must be feeling I was ill for THREE weks and the doctor came in twice to see me. he said plenty of fluids and tea was on the top of the list.

Stephen thanks for the funny we need cheering up on here every now and again.
Pauline did you guess that shirt was blue ? I didnt think it showed on the photo I only noticed the buttons and realised it was St Mary Uniform not The Girls school I went to.

I see that they are going to close the baby swap on East Enders quickly as the BBC have been getting so many calls about it, it was suppose to drag out, but everyone had had a go at them.

To brighten your night........

A woman went to the Police to report her husband missing.

'He's 51 years old, six feet three inches tall, dark eyes, dark hair, athletic build, weighs 11st 7lbs, smartly dressed and softly spoken' she said.

Her friend protested....' He's 67 years old, five feet two inches, bald, overweight and a loud mouth scruff'.

'I know that' said the wife 'but who wants HIM back?'

Hmm, we've had insanity in this country for a long time now.

We got snow today, it's stopped now but it's still freezing.

I've been in all day and I haven't started the dinner yet, been messing about with a photo of our Rita when she was a school girl, I'll send it on later............I'm needed at the moment.

Dermot Report 7 Jan 2011 17:47

That was a surprising bit of news this evening - an MP being jailed for forgery.

Hard to imagine what would have happened to him if he did something really bad - like start a war resulting in loss of lives on all sides.

Vote for insanity.

Linda I have never heard of that medication before, and I finished working in the pharmacy two years ago.
It's the same as Gee's cough linctus, that is very hard to get hold of now as well.

Dermot if our cricketers are as good at singing as our footballers, we wouldn't stand a chance in the Eurovision, not that we do any way.

Hi Stephen, it's the weekend again, so no work tomorrow.

Maddie enjoy your week of, and get yourself well again.

Still no Rita yet.

Now that we have won the Ashes in Australia after such a long time, perhaps this happy event will give our Eurovision entry a bit of encouragement.

Are the cricket lads any good at singing?

Hi Mo
It is just covonia for chesty cough that I have, it worked OK in the past relieving if not curing.
The one hubby saw iin the paper was Pulmo Bailey. I remeber it from when I was a dispenser for Boots in my youth. Goodness I left them 33years ago. I had worked for them for 9 years so it has been around for a long time.

I haven't been out it's too wet out there but at least it isn't cold enough for snow, which was a threat.

Sending healing wishes for Jean

Linda :o) XxX

Oh Pauline, I am so sorry, I forgot Brent was due to go into hospital yesterday. No wonder you wern't on here. I was geting ready to send out the search parties again.
Plenty of soft treats for Brent, like ice creams and jellies, etc.
I think that when my children were small, I was a worst child then all of them put together, I loved Blanchmange(sp) jellies, and trifles. And when we had birthday parties, I made sure I saved myself a bowl full of what ever was going.

Linda, dont worry about the tidying around, before your friends arrive, if you are still not feeling on top form.
I always tell my friends, that I am going to visit them, not on a house inspection.
What medicine is being advertised on the t.v. Is it the Covonia night medicine that you are taking, or just the normal Covonia?
There are just so many things that they advise you to take for chesty coughs, but if you are diabetic, there are limitations on what you can take.
I hope you get rid of it soon though love.

We don't have the rain Shelly, but everything is covered in frost and ice, it's very cold.
Another couple of days at home will give your son a chance to get his strength back.

Linda, Brent isn't well enough to go to the centre yet, the hospital said he has to stay in for another couple of days because he'll be prone to infection. Maybe you should stay in for another couple of days as well, but if you have to go out get well wrapped up.

Pat, try honey and lemon drinks for your throat.
