Rita, your family have some terrible bad luck with health don't they? I'm pleased that your son's operation's been brought forward, the sooner the better!!

Hi Cath, I was wondering where you were. I got a bottle of that cordial, haven't tried it yet though.

Come to think of it, I haven't seen Yvonne for a while either.

Mo, Brent's fine now thanks, and so is my aunt, she's the only one of my mam's siblings left. She gave me a lovely tapestry she'd made for my great niece, she manages to do them without wearing glasses, and she's 92. I can't even thread a needle without putting reading glasses on.

Hi Everyone,
sorry for neglecting you all! Just had a busy few days and been too tired at night to get laptop out. Jean sounds like shes in good spirits despite having to stay in a bit longer. Its been raining all week and I'm fed up with it, can't get the washing dry and I hate having it hanging all over the house.
Hope all are well and warm, back later,

Cath xx

What the devil is that hospital up to with our Jean, how the hell can they get
a persons notes mixed up for goodness sake.
In the hospitals local to us, all notes are kept at the bottom of patients beds, so there should not be any mistakes when a doctor reads them.
Jean I cannot tell you how sorry I am that they have messed you about like this. Building all your hopes up, only to dash them like that. But, god willing you will be home by Sunday, feeling as fit as a fiddle.
If you see the stupid idiot, who mislead you at any time soon, give him a piece of your mind.
It's so unfair when it is left to someone else to say he has made a mistake, and carry the can for him.
You just behave yourself with all them young doctors, ooooh perhaps not, you just enjoy yourself love.

Pauline I hope your aunt was well, when you visited her. You have often spoken about her haven't you.
How is Brent now, after his hospital treatment.

Rita, have a rest from doing those cupboards out today, you did to much yesterday, and now you are paying for it love.
Sit your BTM down and have a nice cuppa, and rest for a while.

Maddie it sounds like you had a fabulous day with your son. It's nice to have one on one time with our children isn't it.

HI pauline you enjoy your day and visiting your aunt. I bet she will be pleased to see you
. I feel well now. I still have a slight cough but nothing to worry about. I did some shopping this morning posted a couple of birthday cards then went into Waitorse to get milk and squosh I wanted blackcurrant they didnt have that so I had a summer fruits one Robinsons I found it was on speacial buy one get one free, Bargain of the day Lol.

I know these hospital are busy but some of the doctors do make mistakes. sorry but alot of the overseas doctors do. I suppose if they have come from another country they need time to settle in I am speaking of those who were not born here.
My Granddaugter walked into a hospital and came out in a wheel chair, she also caught MRSA in her water while she was there, then they gave her something with nuts in which she is allergic too and carried a card to tell others.and she was terrible ill.
I am not kidding I could give you a list as long as 5 feet of things that went wrong while she was in hospital.. we had hospital meeting we did everything but they admitted mistakes had been made
she is still on crutches is an invalid alway in hospital only the drugs she has keeps her going. Megan is her daughter.

I am going to finish off the stew I made yesterday. I have given the cupboard clearing a miss today my back aches .

Morning all, it's quite mild here today, I think the sun might even get out later. I hope we've seen the last of the snow.

Has anyone seen Cath around? Haven't seen her name on here for a couple of days now. Is she still unwell?

So many people on this thread have been ill the last few weeks that I've lost track of who's ill and who's not. I think Pat and Maddie are recovering, Jean's in hospital and Linda is ill. Rita, Mo and Shelly have fought off bugs, and Marilyn has a sore mouth. Not sure if Yvonne's been ill or not, but I think Dermot and Stephen are fighting fit.

I know anyone can make a mistake but I think Jean's doctor should have been a bit more careful. I hate to think what would happen if he mixed the notes up of people who were going to have surgery.

I'm going out today to visit my aunt, it'll be the first time in 2 months that I'll be able to go out without wellies on.

Have a good day everyone.

I am pleased you enjoyed your day out.my sister drags me to places I never knew exsisted. ? we go to one museum and I say the same thing, I didnt know this one was here ? . my two favourite venues are Hendon Air Museum and The Navy Museum in Greenwich The Painted hall is one of my favourites. but when you start getting old it takes you longer to get around. but then I have been there so many times now.
we were down there a couple of years ago when the Royal accademy of music was having a recital in the Naval church and we were invited in to listen it was lovely we were there for about two hours.
did I tell you Maddie last year I went to the Proms at St Judes Church in Hampstead.I expect you know the church.
Time to take my tablets now. see you later.

Morning everyone
Jean some of these hospital are really bad each doctor does what he thinks and forgetting to tell the other what he has done or thinking.? so you get lost in the change. My Granddaughter goes to Hillingdon Hospital and is in there for weeks .Months even a year once and the mistakes they made you would not beleive.? all because one doctor tells the nurse but not the other doctor on duty. The complaints the family have made about this( nothing is done.)
But I think if you weight things up a few more days might be better for you, you dont want to come home early just to go back in again do you ?
I know it must be upsetting for you. when you get your hopes up your going home and then you find your not. It has happened to me a few times.
so get busy on your laptop while you can.

Love Rita

Good morning.

A wet and windy one here in London Town.

Just seen the news on text, flood warnings in the SouthWest, so lets hope it does not affect Marilyn, Dermot or Patricia.

Hope Rita has had her confirmation of Holiday in IOW. It is really lovely in the Summer. Sandown boasts the most sunshine in Britain [or certainly used to].

Keep calm Jean, you are in the right place, even if it is not where you want to be, take the opportunity of having a rest. Give Dr Father a right earful when you see him, then go back to serenity.

Hope everyone is well and warm.

Still coughing, but I dont think quite as bad, so hopefully going. If only it was warmer, I am sure it would 'dry up'

Take care out there.

See you later.

Hello everyone, where are you all, is the weather so bad that you have all decided to stay in bed?
I do hope all our poorly friends are stating to feel better, these 'flu' bugs take ages to go away dont they.
I see my daughter put a message on here last night, I have asked if I can see doctor doom as soon as he comes on the ward, I am not sure if I am more angry or more upset. but I do realise that mistakes happen, and I am in the best place at the moment. am trying to keep calm but it isn't very easy.
Will look in later,
Take care and stay safe.

Morning All
Thanks for the update on Jean Susan, sorry she isn't well enough to go home yet but she really is in the best place with this illness. I had such severe pain when I had it I thought it was my heart, very frightening.
On my own today. Hubby at work this afternoon. Must do some paperwork, backlog after the holidays.
Would like to get a walk in but think it will be too wet.
Still coughing but not quite as bad as before.
Think I need a holiday!!! Just as well the flights are booked. Off in March, but have to sort out a hotel now.

Hope you all have a good day today

Good evening/night dear people.

Just coming on here to say nighty night really.

I have spent the day with my son, it was lovely. I met him at Bow, and we went to Canary Wharf. We went to the Museum first, and saw the history of the Thames. I said to him 'You wouldn't be interested in all these things if I hadn't dragged you around Museums and Galleries when you were young' and strangely enough he agreed. We then went to look in the boutique shops in Canary Wharft. It was nice we talked all day, and walked around even though it was drizzly.

He is working hard at the moment, and his girlfriend, although lovely, is not to keen on those sort of activity. He cannot get to us as often as he would like, so the next day out will be with his Dad. They will be going to either the Artillary Museum in Woolwich, or to the Rugby at Twickers.

Poor Jean, how disappointing, still she is in the right place. Those lovely nurses to look after her. Although the doctor needs a quiet word in his shell-like.

Hope the poorly sick are feeling better. I'm still coughing. Although the doc said it is a virus, and anti biotics would not work. Great eh?

keep well and warm.

God Bless

Hi Rita, it was the nurse in charge tonight, when Mum told me she would be home Friday I went to ask what time I could collect her, she got the notes out and said your Mum isn't down for discharge on Friday, so she got a doctor to come and tell me what had happened, unfortunately not the one who saw Mum this morning. Mum was asleep when I left so didn't have the job of telling her the news.
Susan.

I meant to ask you Susan ? did the nurses tell you or the Doctor ?
She has every right to tell them off . about it. He must be a very poor Doctor to not take more notice of what notes he is reading

Hello, Susan here, Mum doesn't know yet, but she wont be home Friday, the doctor who said that had the wrong patient notes, they will tell her in the morning.
Hope she doesn't use any bad language when they tell her.

Hope you are all well.
Susan
They have moved her laptop so she cant come on this thread until they have spoken to her.
