Hello folks. Shelly are we going to see young Olly at the 2028 Olympics, all this excercise he's getting will turn him into a wonderful athlete.
Linda, our weather is the same as yours, wet and very windy. We had to walk up to town today, as our son has got our car for a few days. My lord, we walked two step forwards and three back, it was exhausting, and we were glad to get home. So the new cough linctus has helped a little, but not cleared it up completely. Perhaps it may need anti-biotics to clear the residue of it,if it has gone down onto your chest.
Maddie, good on yer for feeding the birds. The poor little things are finding it hard to find food at the moment. My water feature in the garden, that the birds normally use as a bath, and drinking fountain, has been frozen on many a morning just recently. I just have to break the ice for them, and then they are quite happy to have a splash about.
Jean, will you please chill out,and relax. Your temperature is fluctuating because you are getting yourself worked up. It must have something to do with that good looking phlebotmist, who comes to take your blood each day. Make sure you look out after 7.30 p.m tonight, you will see some mad so and so's flying round your way, looking for a secret entrance into your private room, led by Stephen, the head warlock of our friendly witches community. We have decided that you need cheering up, but also calming down,if thats possible, so keeep a look out for us mad hatters. Keep smiling honey, we are all with you in spirit.
Oh Pauline you made me chuckle, about the pregnant 94 year old. But when people who are sufferers of dementia, get an idea into their heads, you really do have to go along with them. It was like the time that mum told me of the fight that had happened, between my Roly, and my brother. It was so real to her, that I had to tell her I would sort it out, and make them shake hands and become friends again. She actually remembered saying it to me, and asked if I had sorted it out. I think the most upsetting thing for me, was seing her dressed in other peoples clothes. She thought I had bought her new clothes, when in fact it was the nursing homes fault, for mixing up all the residents clothes, during washing. All clothes had been marked with her names on them. Unbeknown to her, I went mental at the carers, and from then on, bought all her clothing home and washed it myself.
Rita, you can still buy the steamers at B+Q's. We have had two of them over the years,a the first one was always being used by one or the other of our children, so we got another one,but never told the kids we had it, we kept it for our own personal use.lol
Cooeee Marilyn, it's not long now till you are home again is it. Did you manage to make your dental appointment for when you get back. It will be great if they can fit Pete in quicker for his op. Enjoy the rest of your hols.
Stephen don't forget 7.30 tonight,we are of to visit Jean Rita,Shelly, Pauline,Linda,Maddie,Yvonne,Pat, Cath,Sue, Lady , Dermot and all our friends, please feel free to join us on our little jaunt tonight.

Maddie make sure you get wrapped up when you go out, you've still got that cough.
Shelly, we haven't had any snow for a couple of days now, there's still a few piles of it in the car parks but that's all that's left now. It feel quite warm today. Are you going to make a gymnast out of Olly?
Mo, it made me laugh that your mam thought she had been made to drive a bus, poor soul must have been really upset about it. I know it's sad but sometimes you can't help but laugh. I hope she didn't think she'd crashed.
One of my aunts had dementia and when I went to the home to see her, she had no idea who I was. Every time I went she asked me who I was. On one occasion, an old lady of 94 sat next to me and told me she was frightened to go home because she'd just found out she was pregnant, and as she was single, her mother would kill her. She asked me if I'd go and break the news to her mother and try to calm her down. Obviously I agreed to do it and told her not to be frightened, but it was hard to keep a straight face.
Marilyn, maybe the hospital have an early appointment that Pete can have. Hope you can get an early appointment at the dentist.
Stephen, the best salesman in the world couldn't sell me a yacht (regardless of his accent or looks), I don't like the water.

Rita, someone said those floods happen about every 30 years in Australia, but we're seeing more of it this time because people are recording it. It's shocking to watch the videos, so much devastation and so many lives lost.
All I know is that it's got something to do with cold air hitting warm air and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it. I can't imagine what it must be like for the people who live there.

Morning everyone.
Keep calm Jean, all good things come to those who wait. What can you get up to in a hospital bed? Dunno kidda, you tell us. lol
Very black here this morning, and wet, but not raining. Going out for a few hours, just for a blow.
I bought a load of stuff for the wild birds yesterday, and Kevin hung them out for me, so hoping to see a bit of wild life munching away.
I dont really like Facebook, although I know a few people on there, I worry about the kids on there and the cyber bullying. I prefer our little community on here.
Still coughing a bit, but hopefully less.
This thread sounds like a Sanatorium when we are in full flow.
See you all later
