Morning all
Still dank here. Kinda makes you feel miserable before you start.
Have to sort old photos today. Son is 30 in 3 weeks and a friend wants to make posters through the years for a surprise party. The surprise for me is that they want to have the party here !!! So I have a house to tidy too.
Hope to get out for a short walk today. Hope the sun shows its face.
Shelly you need to go to Ikea for plates they are reasonable there and usually sell seperately so you can top up when any more break.
Have a good day everyone

Linda :o) XxX

I just thought of something Stephen which has made me smile
.
years ago when you hired a skip to get rid of your rubbish and it was in the road. you had to report it to the police station and overnight it had to have lights on the sides.(This was to save cars or people getting hurt ")
so I reminded John to phone them before he forgot or we would get a fine, so he did, he spoke to a the policewoman on the desk and said he had a skip in the road and gave the name of the road.,she was so angry she told him he wasnt funny . and they had better things to do, with their time.. and slamed the phone down (this is way back in about 1968)
I said I will phone her back which I did , I explained we had a skip for rubbish in the road outside our house and we had the lights on it, and we were phoning them to let them know as the rules asked us to do. she said thank you for calling took all the details down before she went I said that was my husband who told you about the skip in the road a few, minutes ago and you told him not to waste your time.
she realised then what had happened and burst out laughing I was laughing as well. this stayed as a joke in the family for ages. mentioning a skip and this was told.

Morning everyone
That gave me a laugh for the start of a new day Stephen, I didnt have any of your breakfast this morning but thanks for doing it. I had some fresh fruit and a mini roll. and two cups of tea. Now I am feeling better, and fit to drop. lol
I have been reading the threads before I got to this one. I go to bed about 10.30 and read for a hour. so I dont often stay late on the board. I have to read back what has taken place in the mornings before I add anything. I am usually up at 6 o.clcock unless I over sleep.
Shelly are they juggling plates in your house ?
I recall my two boys when they were very small watched a programe on TV about Juggling and took three plates from the cupboard and tried juggling, I was surprised they didnt break them? .although they dropped them a few times, we had a tthck Carpert on the floor whether that made a differnce I have no idea.?
but I got them to use soft balls afterwards or oranges, lol

A wee chuckle before I go.

A woman went to the Doctors to get some medication for her elderly husband.

The Doctor said, ' I want him to take two of these pills every Saturday, Sunday and Monday and skip the rest of the week'.

A month later the woman returned and informed the Doctor her husband had died of a heart attack.

'I don't understand it' said the doctor, 'he had no history of Heart problems. I hope it wasn't a side effect of the medication'

'Oh no,' said the wife. 'The Pills were fine'

'It was the skipping that killed him'

Tea or Coffee

Porridge or Cereals, Fresh Fruit Juices, Grapefruit Segments,
Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Mushrooms, Black Pudding, Toamtoes, Hash Browns, Toast, Morning Rolls.

Help yourselves from the Hot Plate.

Early rise for an early start as soon as daylight arrives.

Weather not so good for being outside. Temperature is still up though, 10C just now, very mild. Can only be better than my last wee jobs outside, it was so cold then any metal I touched stuck to my hands.

Jean.....hope your first night at home was ok..........trust you are feeling well.

Only Patricia, Maddie and I around last night. Were all the others at a secret party ?

'Fluffy Paws' eventually arrived home late last night. Grinning from ear to ear. Goodness know what he's been up to. He got a right telling off and sent to his bed.

Keep well. keep safe. keep smiling.

Catch you all later.

Dame Shelly....when you go to bed I'm thinking about getting up LOL.

Good Evening All.

I am sorry I bailed out rather quickly last night. Something urgent cropped up.

Please Jean is home, hope she enjoyed our moments of mayhem.

Has Mo taken the nurses uniform off yet, or is she still pretending. Oooooh Matron.

Hope everyone is well and warm. All of us invalids need to get a bit of sunshine to buck us all up.

Rain, rain and a bit more rain here. Starting to get webbed feet. Makes you go quackers.

See Stephens corny jokes are rubbing off on me.
