Cold and dry again today.
Dermot we await part 2 with baited breath, lol.
Haven,t got anything planned for today but will probably take dog for a run on the beach later. Got to keep her in shape and shes the laziest dog I've ever known. No wonder she was retired at 18 months - wish I was retired-.
They say dogs look like their owners, well mine definitely does not, she is tall, skinny and sleek and I,m not, lol lol.
Hope you are all well

Morning everyone,
Fried brekkie please!
It's dry and cold here.
I had this amazing dream. I dreamt I met someone nice and then I woke up.
I can remember in my dream feeling really really happy!. Anyway back to reality. It's off to the hairdressers and the Opticians thismorning. I'ce still got some Christmas money to spend so I might buy some more books. I know you can get the book of the King's Speech. I prefer reading books to seeing the film. I've read Lord of the Rings but I've never seen the film!
Catch you all later in the day x

Morning Jean
Hope you are feeling better. Do you have to go back for check ups? I think I had more x-rays after a couple of months and mine had cleared. I hope you don't need to go out today.
I am off for the papers in a minute, hubby is at work and I could do with some fresh air.

Take care all

Linda :o) XxX

GRKidnappedmylittlemanfaceMarilyn - how dare you ask such personal & confidential questions!!

I was very young when I was born & remember very little. On the other hand, my mum remembers everything - very clearly, she used to remind me.

There was no measuring tape to hand - so a piece of string was used to measure my height. Unfortunately, the string was not long enough to assess the size of my head. Here, you should think of Homer Simpson's head for comparison.

I felt neglected as a youngster. The farm animals always got seen to first. What food was available was always fresh though. One of my tasks was to monitor the chickens & bring in the eggs as soon as they were laid - still warm. There was no need to check the 'sell-by-date'.

Usually, the cat had to disappear from my cot to allow my mother to put me to bed. But, of course, he'd always sneak back later & there we both slept happily till dawn. The only time the cat might stir was when a visiting mouse would show his head around the corner. Such noise with cat chasing the mouse hotfoot out the half-door & through the chicken coup - poor chickens, no eggs for a while after their frightening intrusion. There was no sympathy for the mouse because he was obviously a stranger to the area.

Our poor dog ignored the goings-on because he was blind. He wore a white bandage around his back leg following that unfortunate incident. One day, he thought he was chewing a bone & when he got up, his leg fell off. His hearing was fine & was always happy to hear the sweet consoling words from us and every passer-by.

*Part 2 tomorrow, next week or never - depending on readers’ requests.

I was wondering where Stephen was. Last time when he went missing he had problems with his laptop or something like that.
