The news on Mike is brilliant Rita, I am so pleased for you all. All we need now is for his biopsy results to be good, and our prayers will have been answered ten fold.

Ooooh Stephen, the weather sounds awful on the Hebrides at the moment, I don't blame your friend for staying in inside in the warm.
How your weather at the moment.?

Rita Report 3 Feb 2011 19:44

There was a discussion on the Radio this morning about children on planes people were phoning in and saying how children had kept them awake on long flights and parents let their children run up and down the isles.and they were out of control. someone said planes could carry families while others could have adults only.someone said that was not a working idea . someone else mentioned a women at the side of him changed the babys nappy on her lap next to him.
they were all arguing.

Cath I hope you start to feel better. I hope the HRT patches work for you but if you've had a chest infetion. That pulls you down.
I remember once coming back from Tenerife and there was a child playing up. Not a pretty noise!

Rita Report 3 Feb 2011 19:33

Stephen I think you have got the weather from Arlington NY I told you Martin had had terrible weather they had terrific rain and snow storms and the media called it Thundersnow. so they must have sent it too you.

Marilyn then Pete must have to have a heart test and blood pressure test before he has the operation.they do that and match the blood as well.

Mo and Pauline I made a big pudding and have enough for tomorrow as well. Lol

I heard this evening my son has had all the drains taken out anf tubes and is now walking up and down the coorridor, He said he is looking forward to coming home , He was not responding to the pain relief they were giving him infact it made his arms and hands swell. so they have now sorted that out it is getting through his veins and they have put him on a kind of chemo tablets he is waiting now for results back from the tests he has had done to see if he need additional Chemo

so things are going really well.

Well Cath you will be running round like a spring chicken soon, being on the HRT patches.
Thank the lord the menopause is a thing of the past now for me.
I hope the ant-biotics clear that muck of your chest very soon.

Pauline, we have had a lovely warm day today, but I am sat hear listening to the wind blowing down the chimney now. I don't know where it came from,as it was not blowing at 5.00p.m.

Cath2010 Report 3 Feb 2011 19:04

Evening all, I could do with some rice pudding, mmmmmm.
Feeling sorry for myself but I shouldn't be as others have bigger problems to worry about. Have some antiobiotics for chest infection so hopefully cough will go in a day or two. Blood results are back and its not thyroid trouble but the menopause, at least I know why I'm so tired, Doc started me on HRT as hormone levels very low.
Rita hope Mike is continuing to make progress and feel more like himself.
Dermot, lovely poem and very true!!!

Hope everyone is alright, back later

Possibly, some people go on child-free holidays, so they might appreciate child-free travel as well.

Dermot

Child-free/adults only flights may be available soon. Do you think it will catch on?

Mo in Kent Report 3 Feb 2011 18:09

Hi ya all.
Look, I have got my lappy back, it's a lot quicker in loading now, thank goodness.

What products did the hospital give you to try Linda.

Marilyn, Maddie popped in the other day, and said she had a few family problems to sort out,and would be back as soon as possible.
I hope things are o.k with them all.

Jean, I have not heard from my brother yet, about my nephew. I will give him a little time to eat his dinner, and then ring him,to see what M has decided.
I have not been following the Big Gypsy wedding programme. I did see the one last year, but that was on a night when Roly was out,and I could chose what I wanted to watch on t.v. There is no way he would be interested.
Can I ask Jean, did your great grandmother have one of those lovely painted wagons, drawn by a horse.
My D.I.L'S sister and her family, have got a beautiful modern van. Oooh it's so lovely, I am envious of her.

Rita I hope you saved me some of that rice pudding yummy.

What has happened to Stephen, I know he said he had got a busy week
ahead of him.
But it's not like him to be missing for such a long period.

Hi to everyone I have not mentioned.
