I'm listening to an interesting programme on Radio 4. It's 40 years since decimilisation. I hadn't realsied that the penny nearly was goinh to be called a cent!
I was still at school. My 4s pocket money became 20p!
The rate of interest Stephen. i googled it. I don't do stuff like that.
You must have been tired stephen otherwise you wouldn't have dozed off.

What a lazy Git !

I have actually done nothing today apart from checking the oil and water levels in our cars and topping up the sreen wash bottles.

Then I SLEPT on the settee this afternoon.

We are now in a flat calm, no wind at all. Temperature up at 6C.

Just for Patricia.........PRT/100

That little formula is imprinted on my mind from donkeys years ago.
I'm nuts.

I thought Accountants were into Catering and good at Cooking the Books.

Tomorrow I will plan to do nothing then maybe I'll get something done.

Catch you later.

Wow Marilyn that's nice!
I sometimes wish I'd gone into catering instead of accountancy.
Cooking's a lot more useful. i don't even like cooking but I'd have learnt!

Afternoon everyone,

The wind has gone down a good bit. Rain has stopped. But it is really chilly. I find the damp cold worse than really hard frost. Must be my age, now that I'm over 21.

Did go out to do some work but got fed up very quickly, not like me, and I'm now gonna pig out and watch telly.

No doubt my lazy negligence will jump up and bite me on the bum at some point.

Will catch you later.

Marilyn,

Wish Pete a Happy Birthday from me.......is he in for a 'special' treat tonight? He He He He !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I usually get a 'special' treat on mine.....Turkish Delight......my favourite sweetie.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PETE. TRA LA.

HELLO TO EVERYONE. I AM BACK.

Now there is a threat. Hope everyone is warm and well. I am still coughing. lol

Very mild here, although rather grey and miserable. Been to Sainsbugs for a few bits, battled home through Camden Market with all the young gels and guys, tattooed, spiky haired and weird and wonderful.

I have visions of Stephen flinging himself around the floor in gay abandon [definitely no pun intended] doing the Funky Chicken, the Hitchhike and the Mashed Potato.

Thank you all for your kind wishes, it is nothing I really want to discuss on an open forum such as this, where any old waif and stray can read its contents.

See Mike is doing well, Pete has an op coming up soon, and Linda is having a party.

Hope to be back later.

Maddie

Marilyn give my love to Pete and wish him a happy birthday. buy one candle with a number on not enough candles to set fire to the house. lol dont forget the balloon with a number on.

It has brighten here there is still a strong wind.out there.

I have so far had breakfast. remade the bed. had a shower and answered four emails now I am getting my chicken ready to go in the oven later on.

My sister as I told you went to read some Land deeds for our Road where we were born and she found that the land had been owned in 1802 by
Marchioness of Carmaven so our area had a welsh connection and our road was named after St George Gervis Meyrick. hence the Meyrick road.just shows you what you can do in research.

Now the good news My son Mike has just told me he will be out of hospital on Monday if things go as they are. he will have to take things very carefully as he has a lot of problems which was kept from me after the operation. but good news home.Monday.
