Jean so sorry to read of your family problems.
As the others say no easy answer, but surely she will be better with family than put into care? How old is she? I know that SS try to keep contact going with the family but that to me splits the childs feelings too much.

I hope your son can make some arrangements to help this little one soon

That's terrible news for your family. Hope that all works out well in the end.

There is never an easy answer to that kind of problem.

Tidied up !

Been out to one of my sheds.........what a lovely night........clear sky.....new moon (1st Quarter) sure to heve frost tonight.

Had to clear the snow from my cars this morning. The local hills have a had a real good coating again. Hopefully that's all we'll have for now.

A lot of Scotland is under Flood Alert, many roads blocked, homes and businesses flooded. We go from one crisis to another. 90mph winds then flat calm.

My wife and I have never been around for a Census. Perhaps we'll make it this time. Pity anyone trying to trace us in a Hundred Years from now.

Hello everyone, hope all is well in your world.
Sorry to have been absent over the weekend but had a family upset.
I had my Granddaughter as usual Sat/Sun, Mum was going to collect her after tea Sunday, 5 o'clock I got a phone call to say she wasn't coming as she cant cope with Scarlett and Joe [her 7 year old son from a previous relationship] she said she is putting Scarlett into care with a view to adoption. Chris, my son, Scarlett's Daddy is heartbroken, he adores his little girl. He has spoken to Social services today to find out if we can keep her, they are coming to see us on Wednesday.

Rita, good news about Mike coming home today, hope he is feeling a little better, bet he is glad to be home with his family.

Hope you all have a peaceful night.

Go with God and in good health.
Jeniwren xx

I ididnt know whether to put it on here or not, ?
My friends husband was very careful at what he said. I never heard him swear all the years I knew him. He didnt realise what he had said he thought he was being helpful ? but the bus was packed with people going into Great Yarmouth and most I knew so did Fred.

I had lost the scew out of my shelf could not find one in the garage My friend husband sitting at the back of the bus called out where you going too ? I said to get a screw. I can hear him now he said I can give you one ..
then he realised what he had said the bus full of people all started laughing. I got off the next stop five stops before I was going to get off.

I can delete if it is over the mark.

Hi Rita
No I don't have my form yet and as I don't read newspapers much have not a clue asto what is happening or when. That is why I was interested when you started your thread. It seems very late to be looking for people to help with the forms either taking them or gathering them in. The pay is poor too as it is so short a job.
I haven't seen anything on the TV at all.
I hope we are advised sooner rather than later as I am away in March too.
When are you away again Marilyn will you be back?

Little M has been refusing food, but generally quiet. Awful nose, barking cough and hates having nose cleaned and creates at nappy change too. Mum was cross with her tonight too.Dad has gone away and she didn't want him all weekend and refused to say goodbye to him this morning when he dropped her off. Well she has to learn that he has a job to do, and he is at home a lot too, not always away.

Trying to write down what I remember of my early life and homes too.

Enjoy your evening all

NUNS......have a laugh at this.

I used to do some repairs for our local Convent to help keep their costs down.

Leaving Church one Sunday a voice calls over to me somewhat loudly.

'Stephen, I'll see you over in my bedroom in about ten minutes'

A hushed crowd looked at me then at SISTER Pauline, a young Nun on a visit to our area
.
The sink in her bedroom was choked.

Boy was my face red !

Sister Pauline slipped quietly away.

My daughter still laughs about it even after a good number of years.

Mo some of the people were saying they had aleady had their census
forms, I think if I recall Linda is one.?
I searched the net and found nothing saying they had been deleivered or maybe posted to people as I understood they were not being sent out till March , it appears you will be able to do the forms on line.
So I dont have any idea what is going on.? I think the advertising might be collecting the forms. but not sure.

we have a magazine come every quarter to our flats from A nchor and they told us before Christmas to apply for a part time of full time job if we wanted too.

I wish they would tell us what is happening. you would think they would give this a top of the list information stamp

Oh me gord,Stephen, if we who have broomsticks applied for the job,we would be able to cover the whole country in one night, especially if we are accompanied by Fluffy Paws+Co as our body guards.

Maddie, it was bad enough years ago, when I had a job of delivering leaflets, let alone doing census forms.
We never knew who we were going to meet at the doors, and the big dogs we encountered, well to say we would do a runner is putting it mildly.
Many a time we would put the leaflet through the door, only to have it snatched from the other side by a dog.
Nite nite Susie sewing shirts for sailors, speak to you tomorrow.

Evening All. Full George Dixon mode.

See the Census jobs above. I dunno, imagine if you were asked into someones house, and were never heard of again. Big dodgy I reckon.

Hope everyone is well and warm.

Lor, it was blowy today. I walk along a main road to get to work, it is a great wide expanse, with four lanes of traffic. It was two steps forward, and one step back. I dont know why I bothered to comb me barnet at all this morning. I looked as if I had been pulled through a hedge backwards. lol

Wont be back on again tonight, I have some sewing to do. If I dont make an effort, it will never be done. Just call me Susie, sewing shirts for sailors.

Good evening and Good Night all.
