Afternoon everyone,
I missed breakfast! Went to mass and then went to see an old neighbour.
Dinner cooking in the oven now. Got to count the church money again.
I thought the weather had got colder than it was first thing this morning.
A completely different day from yesterday!

I must have posted at the same time as Maddie and Stephen !!!

Ironing done too
Birds fed
Parcels made up to send to Bulgaria for the children that are poor but not yet orphans. Mainly jumpers, hats, gloves and scarves.

Ironing took me an hour.

Dashing away with my smoothing iron. I figure if I just get on with it early then it is out of the way.

Hope baby is ok Shelly. My Dave was always accident prone. So many cut and scrapes.

Trust Mo and Jean are feeling better this morning.

Got another load in the machine. How people say they only put their machine on once a week I do not know. Mine on every day, sometimes twice a day.

No thanks Stephen, dont need any more shirts to iron. Kind of you to offer, but NO.

Cake and ice cream and jelly went down well.

What a great day I had, . I had callers all day. meessage on Facebook and emails birthday greetings and plenty of phone calls but the time I got into bed I was exhausted.
well I wont reach that age again. I feel lucky i have managed to get this far..not many people have the chance.
I have sent cake down the Cyber Hatch along with some jelly and ice cream Lol. they are well wrapped so they wont come in a mess.
I am going to get some breakfast now. toast and marmalade .

Well dank and overcast here this morning but not actually raining. Must try to get out for a walk again today.

Went to our son's for a family gathering last night for youngests 26th birthday(on Monday) The youngsters had a few drinks and were quite funny to watch playing on the Wii. I tried but I am not very co ordinated, so didn't do very well.

Must get the ironing out of the way today too, before the start of a new week.

Having Indian take away tomorrow Pat, 2nd celebration for our daughter.

Shelly do you have arnica cream or witch hazel in your medicine cupboard? Now little legs is mobile he will bump himself both help to bring the bruise out and heal quicker. Old fashioned but good standby things to have.

Can understand why you wanted it to be low key. All the other problems will seem more important to you than a birthday celebration.

Dame Shelly, hope the little one is ok. Will probably have a lump like an egg........is the floor ok ?

Well another day of bits and pieces of work to do. Certainly missing the Central Heating. All going well will be back on stream tomorrow.

Trusting that everyone else is keeping well or they are on the road to recovery.

I had a piece of chocolate cake yesterday. We had a work expereince girl with us and she shared out a chocolate cake as it was her last day.

No Marilyn I kept looking at the 80 on some of the birthday cards and thought my god I am 80 years old where has time gone.?
I dont feel any older than I did yesterday Lol.

But being serious I would like to thank you all for your birthday wishes and Mo thank you for the card. and the email cards.from you others
even the birthday thread I was amazed to read that.

I have been up and down with phone calls from Norfolk, Devon Cornwall and Locally. I had two emails from America. I had no end of callers and cards here are 30..
My nephew who lives in Arlington said it is lovely an warm there in USA so I expect Marilyn has the same weather. it is " The presidents" day on Monday so Martin has the day off.
they have funny holidays. .

Thank you for the Biirthday wishes. I cannot beleive I have reached the age of 80 it was only as I started opening the cards I received and found the two figures it hit me I was 80 I am not having a party I asked not to as we have had lots of illnes in the family this past year and this years so far. so I want to wait till everyone is feeling better so we can all enjoy a party.

Pauline, they were lovely photos of Megan, Ryan and Charlie thank you for that.
I had money from the family enough for a holiday and my sister brought me a book on the" History of Willesden" (not the Meyrick Road one I am doing which inccidently I have the photo of the family the road was named after taken in 1865) I also had two Historical novel books . I am looking forward to reading these.

The weather is quiet cold this morning it appears to have been raining during the night .I hope every one has a good day.
