Oh, I'm having problems with this site again, just tried to send a pm and it won't go.

Stephen, I've got Scottish, Irish and German blood in me but I was born in England............ so I'm English.

I've already put a post on here but it isn't here, wonder if this one will go on.

Stephen2009 Report 22 Feb 2011 15:00

Afternoon all !

Have you fixed it out then.....are you English or British

I'm Celtic.

Scots/Irish blood in me.

I'm looking forward to the Census. I will have no problems confusing the officials.

Had a good clean and tidy up round the house. Why are there so many places that catch dust.

A very good afternoon to you all,
haven't had much time to get on computer, I'm trying to keep 3 little darlings amused!! Typical half term weather. I've managed to sneak on while in kitchen sorting out drinks and snacks, lol.
Hope everyone is well, will catch up properly later,

British ships are entittled to fly the red ensign. which includes the Union Flag..
The English flag white back ground with a red cross of St Patrick (The Patron saint of Ireland ) so that is different..

anyway I am English and Stephen is Soottish while Dermot is Irish who is Welsh on here. if not I have many Welsh Cousins. Lol

I use to belong to the Girl Guides in 1940 and we didnt have parades then think it might have been due to the war being on.?

But in 1960 a Guide group near my home was without a Guilder took about 6 months. I ran that till then. I stayed on helping to raise fund for the group.

At the same time I was helping out the Sea Scouts and The Land Scouts as both my sons belong to groups Mike like the Sea and John the Land.

Till 1966 when I moved to Ealing and got dragged into The Land Scouts

helping out and taking over as their secretary till I moved in 2003.I say drag as I had no intentions of doing it.

we had marches to church for St Georges day and my eldest son Mike went with his sea scouts group. we all went to the same church.

I still get a three page letter every year from the group I belong too telling me all that had happened during the year. with a Christmas card.

and here them sing. holding the St Georges Flag.

The news from NZ is not good I have a cousin and her family live out there

they emigrated 30 years ago her daughter Susan is in the NZ Police Force.

Rita , I beg to differ...LOL

I wouldn't fly the UNION JACK just for England as you stated.... but I would fly ST GEORGES flag for England.

Yes I would also fly the UNION JACK as it is the Great British FLAG ( Union ) being England,Wales,Scotland, Northern Ireland'

Today I'm flying the American Flag outside on the balcony as there is a huge one that blocks the sun on my window so I might pull it down ...LOL probably upset my neighbours .....

Now any more for Topics on flags........?????

Bought two sets of Sheets today ...pretty boring for me .
