Marching Bands !

What better to stir the blood than a full band of Pipes and Drums.

I feel the hairs rise on my neck and a quickening of the blood when ever I hear the sound.

Magic .

Hello folks,
Mo, I'm glad your x-ray was ok. Hope they can sort out pain for you.
Marilyn please tell us its cold and wet where you are, then I won't feel so envious, lol.
Rita I hope that Mike is making progress and recovering well.

Have heard nothing about a census here, can anyone enlighten me? As for nationality I suppose as I have a British passport I would have to state British. I was born in Guernsey to an Irish mother and Guernsey father. Have always felt more in tune with my Irish side though and every time we go to Ireland I feel like I've "come home". Its definitely where my heart is.

Hope everyone is well,

Cath xx

Mr Stephen Gay Gorden so thats where the Gay Gordons dance came from you.?
Mo at least you have your results from your x-ray I am pleased about that. I was going to say the same as Marilyn it could be a trapped nerve that is very painful.

Marilyn thought you were on a diet G & T whats that ?lol known as Mothers ruin in my days.

Dermot they have the dragon on there flag and thats ours.

Stephen you never said if you saw The Royal Navy last night in TV.?

Pauline earlier on when I tried to send the reply to this thread it would not go I kept getting page out of use or something like that so I kept going to the top arrows and worked on them till it went.
what a todo that was.

Stephen LOL.
My doctors surgery has just phoned, and the results of my xray are o.k. But I have to go and see her on monday afternoon, as this pain has to be originating from somewhere, and it's certainly not my imagination.

Cooeee Marilyn I am here, well sort of.
Like most of the girls on here, I was a girl guide out in Malaysia, but gave up when we returned to the U.K.
I loved it when we went camping, and had to cook over an open fire. Nearly all our meals were either burnt or under cooked.

As for nationality, I am English born and bred. My ancestors were either
Irish, Belgique or of English blood, so I class myself as English,as by the time I was born, most of the foreign blood had been diluted down lol.

Just watching the news .The Earthquake looks awful.

LOL Maddie, not that kind of jazz band, the kind where lots of school children wear a uniform and march around the streets playing tunes (like Rule Britannia) on kazoos.

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 22 Feb 2011 17:36

Well I wasn't a scout or a brownie, I was in the jazz band instead!!

Apparently this is the reason the Union Flag doesn't have a Welsh representation on it...

Dermot.

Of course the Red Dragon Flag of Wales does come in with the Union Flag ....it just that half of Wales folk are in England !!! including my Stepmother . I don't suppose she has ever seen a Welsh Flag ...LOL

Here I am just enjoying this gorgeous weather. had my walk on the beach I'm trying to do some power walking....but its not working ...LOL

Where is MO ?

I hope she is OK. she has been seen less on thread, not like our MO.

Just had lunch.......back later

I don't know Dermot but I've always wondered.

Don't give them any ideas Stephen, they'll be adding another question to the list.......sexual preference!

Dermot

Dermot Report 22 Feb 2011 16:53

While we are discussing flags - does anyone know why there is no Welsh representation in the Union Flag?

Talk tidy now!
