Good morning all,
No red alert for me Rita, mind you I wasn't on computer for long yesterday. How is Mike?
Hope our Stephen is safe and enjoyed his night under the stars.
A sunny but chilly start to the day here, hope it lasts long enough to get the washing out on the line.

Maddie,
The same with my Grandparents. I remember back in 2003 a second cousin of mine was really into the family tree thing and she came round my house with my Grandparents wedding certificate. I looked at the date and I laughed because my Grandparents were married in the February and my Dad was born in the June.Mind you this was in 1915.

Maddie my mum could do all that while knitting too. My son was 2 when she died, he's 17 now, I've still got the video of his 2nd birthday party my mum was there. I shall have to get it put onto a cd because tape doesn't last

Cath you're quite welcome to come round and do my spring cleaning lol

Marilyn my Gran was a bit prim and proper, never swore or smoked, but I found a couple of skeletons in her cupboard I can tell you!

Evening all,

Hope everyone is well and warm and Stephen is safe and sound in his tent. Back tomorrow,

Oh dear I have just typed a message and Whoosh it went ...

Maddie you are funny about your mum sucking a sweet while knitting ! LOL do you know what sort they were ?
My gran used to have a fag on while knitting and I was mesmerized as to why she needed to have this fag butt in her mouth !! LOL half the time the ash would fall into what ever she was knitting, She always knitted us kids socks all strips and with 3 needles ....oh how I was fascinated by that.

My Gran was funny and used to make us kids laugh......often swearing in her talk not the swear words we know of today , just bleddy & bugger.

My mother used to send us kids out in the garden away from gran when she had her fits of swearing.

I miss her......poor old soul died of cancer.

I have been to a Crafts & Art fair today.......nothing took my fancy.

Jean sorry about your horses ....like Yvonne says its probably for the best, never mind you have that baby to look after now that will take up a lot of your time.

Stephen ...you have probably gone by now , we will be thinking about you ,hope you got loads to tell us on your arrival.

Time for a G&T.......

Afternoon all
Been for the daylight walk.
Scooted out before it rains again.
Only round the streets this time too mucky for me round the lake.
So many flowers starting and shrubs bursting into new life.
Sun just going down behind the houses now. But oh how nice it is that the days are lengthening out.
Must do the ironing soon or I will want to sit down all evening.

Maddie I can knit, watch the TV, have to avoid munching, but always have a drinkl by my side. Think I might start another jumper for the orphans soon, maybe this evening. Get a stock by me to send in the Autumn.

Enjoy your evening everyone
Take care Stephen

Afternoon everyone

Sorry to hear you're not feeling too good Rita, hope the tinitus eases soon

have fun Stephen, I don't do tents, I like my comforts too much

Mo my mum knitted loads of jumpers and cardies for my son when he was a baby, I still have a couple put away for a keepsake. My nan used to knit for my brother and sisters when we was little, she knitted us all school jumpers so mum didn't have to buy them

Jean hope your horses went off to their new homes ok, it is sad to give them up but it is for the best.

just off out with the dog, see you later

Aw Shelly and Rita,
Don't say that. If there were no week-ends then I'd have to work all the time.
I like not being at work and being home!

shelly I have had the same I felt really depressed with it all. my printer started playing up when I was trying to take a photograph copy so I left it. a friend came and put a new light bulb in for me. that cheered me up a little. but the sky opened up and poured with rain it was so bad it was like a mist outside.
I hate the weekends.
