Evening Everyone.
Kevin has arthritis in his knees, and cartlidge problems. So not too good. When it is cold and damp, as it has been for the past few months. He finds it very difficult to walk. His knees 'crack', and fluid forms on his knee joints. So bed rest is the only answer with antiinflammatory tablets.
It is driving him NUTS. However, needs must.
Mo, I keep telling you all on this and the other thread I am silver haired. And no I will not be colouring it for the Meet. There are reasons for this snow on the roof, and it will stay that way. lol
Really looking forward to seeing Mo, Jean and Yvonne. We will drink to absent friends [Marilyn] . Not long now.
Oh, just checked back, Mo, you said Jean is not coming. What a shame.
I will have to meet someone outside, I cannot go into a pub on my own.
Maybe see's ya all later.
Take care. x

Stephen, I don't think Maddie was with us the night we had the brawl with the trawler men. I will try and keep her under control, but I won't have Jean to back me up now, so if you are passing on the 19th, wether it be by broomstick, or private jet or train, try and pop in and see us.
Pauline, you naughty girl, you just want to see Stephen in his kilt dont you. If Stephens going to be Bonnie Prince Charlie, in the film, can we get tickets to the premier purleeze. I know it's probably going to be a documentary, but we can dream can't we Pauline.

Pauline.....Leave of abscence !!!!!!!!!!
I'm needing some leave.
Busy assisting in the making of a film on the life of Bonnie Prince Charlie.
It'll be about a year in the making. Lots of research to be done. We want it to be fact not fiction. Loads of noted Scottish Historians involved.
THE MEET
If a goodlooking guy in a kilt strolls up..............it wont be me.......I love to come along a meet a few of you.....then a quick Fly Past on our Broomsticks.
As they say up here.....'Caw Canny on the Bevvy' And don't have a brawl like you did in Oban with those Trawlermen.
Should I send Fluffy Paws along to keep an eye on you ?

That's the word I couldn't remember Jean........... VANNER. My niece said she'd bought a Vanner Gypsy horse but I'd never heard of the word Vanner and couldn't remember it. She just said he would be very big and strong and look like he had big feet. I've Googled it and seen the pictures - they are beautiful aren't they? Some of them are quite stunning. I won't pretend to know anything about horses, but yes, I think it's a yearling.

Hello everyone. Maddie, I was a bit disappointed in Marchlands. Like you I thought it was going to really spooky, and I would not watch the first episode on my own. I made Roly sit through it with me, but after that I watched alone, as he was out at darts. I hope your OH is o.k. I don't like to ask, but has he had an operation, only you said you set him up before work with the remote controls etc. Sorry to hear you are still suffering with that blessed cough.
Rita, how sad that Mike is so depressed after his operation. As others have said, it's being alone for such long hours, and suffering with the pain is bound to bring him down. God willing, tomorrow will find him feeling a little better. It is such a pity that you are such a long way away from him. It would put your mind at ease if you were able to visit him, wouldn't it. But it's nice that your daughter was able to pop in and spend a little time with him.
I hope that Pat has a nice time at her sisters.
Cath, how did the shopping go with your mum. I hope you didn't lose her in one of the supermarkets. LOL
Oi Yvonne, whats this then, getting your hair coloured and cut. Is this all in readiness for the meet. Crumbs, I will have to get a colour for mine if thats the case. I can't let the side down, and look like the gray haired witch from the south east, can I now. You, Jean and Maddie will be looking all glamorous, and I will look dull and drab.
Talking of Jean, has anyone heard from her today, or have I missed her posting. That wouldn't surprise me, knowing me.

Hello everyone, hope you have all had a good day. Sorry I haven't been on for a few days, been trying to fill my time with work now that my horses have gone. Stephen, I am trying to fill my time, but it isn't easy. Rita, glad to hear you had good news from your scan. So sorry to hear Mike is feeling low, hope he soon feels better. Mo, cant visit horses, some went to Wales and some to Yorkshire. Scarlett is fine, and into everything, she goes round the place like a little rocket. Pauline, yes, I have a Gypsy horse to pull my vardo, if you Google Vanner Horses you can see some lovely pictures of them, they are beautiful, big powerful horses, most are black and white. I take it your niece has bought a yearling. I dont think I will be able to make the meet, since I was ill recently I cant travel very well on my own. Am going to have some tea now, Take care and stay safe. Jean xx

Tomorrow’s News Today (Part 2).
Ireland fans toast local heroes after cricket team's astonishing triumph. One presenter on RTÉ radio compared Ireland defeating England in cricket to the English winning a hurling match against an Irish county.
Irish PM-elect Enda Kenny says the team's historic three-wicket victory over England at the World Cup will lift the Irish nation's spirits. Whiskey is optional.
He has invited the England team to a rematch in Croke Park Stadium, Dublin only this time the game will be Hurling. Cricket & Hurling have two important things in common - a ball & a bat.
And now, a bit of nostalgia. The price of a pre-decimalisation marriage licence was 7s & 6d. During a bingo game when ‘76’ was the next number to read out, the bingo caller used to say: “7 & 6 - was she worth it?”.
This is the national year of speech, language & communication except for Tony Blair, our missing Peace Envoy. He’s gone very quiet. Where is he these days? If you spot him, do not approach him. Just report his whereabouts direct to David Cameron or Nick Clegg when he is not abroad on holiday.
Learning a language can be complicated. Some famous footballers have failed completely to do so.
‘Work’ is becoming a nasty word not to be used in front of teenagers because they may never be able to do any in the current job shortage situation. The phrase ‘back to work’ will be removed from the Oxford Dictionary until further notice because it has no meaning any more, particularly in the Job Centres.
As well as turning-off some motorway lights to save electricity, the coalition Governments has instructed that the light at the end of the tunnel should be extinguished. Make sure you have a plentiful supply of candles at home.
Ryanair is considering whether to continue carrying passengers any more. Apart from putting-up with grumpy customers, there is much more money to be had from transporting luggage only to a whole list of unexpected airports. To minimise landing fees, suitcases will be dropped down by parachute. Mind your head!
Football Managers continue to highlight the importance of good goalkeeping and business managers remind workers how keeping up with goals is vital.
Top secret documents obtained by WikiLeaks indicate that Columbus discovered the New World using an unheard of instrument at the time - now known as a SatNav. His A-Z was useless since it covered Plymouth only. Check out the report in tomorrow’s press. One positive note - he would never have been able to start his journey if the latest strategic defence cuts were applied then.
Talking about directions, it’s a well known fact that London residents are rarely able to give a stranded driver directions. Too many commute by the Underground & rarely see anything above ground. And another thing about ‘Underground’ - it’s the only word in the English language that starts & ends with the same three letters - ‘UND’.
‘Migrants now free to claim full benefits’ was a recent news headline. I was unaware that they received restricted pay-outs up to now. UK nationals will have to prove they were abroad, even if was on holidays, in order to claim under the revised EU ruling. A bath towel nicked from the hotel will be adequate evidence.
The cost of one egg is now 30p. The ups & downs of egg prices will, in future, be included in the Stock Market reports. Boiled, fried, scrambled or poached, the chickens are headless with delight.
May day bank holiday is to be renamed ‘Big Society Day‘. Ski Sunday will now be shown on Saturday nights. Saturday Night at the Palladium will be reinstated on Wednesday evenings without any commercial breaks.
Due to a burst pipe & flooding, the Rovers Return will remain closed until further notice for refurbishment. The Producers are to take this opportunity to announce that those behind the bar will have to rotate with the few on the other side of the bar - otherwise beer sales will be down on last year since Jack & Vera are no longer customers.

Morning everyone
just a quick hello, I'm off to the hairdressers soon to have my grey covered up and a trim
Have a good weekend Pat
Rita sorry to hear Mike is feeling depressed, like you said it could be because he is used to being busy and helping people and at the moment he is in pain and can't do anything about it. Sending positive thoughts his way.
