Good evening all. Maddie, I want a sherbert dip dab, with the liquorice to suck. Yahoo you can book your holiday now, somewhere nice and warm methinks, but not HOT. It's a real bummer when the tax man takes his slice, isn't it. The beginning totals look good on paper, and then wham a big slice is taken out, leaving you depressed. How's Kevin's arthritus feeling now, is he any better now that we have had some decent weather.
It's an awful feeling when you have your ears syringed isn't it Rita, it sounds like a waterfall going of in your ears. Lets hope and pray that the rest of your anti-biotics, will clear up the tinnitus.
You were a little piggy earlier then Pat, with those bacon butties. No wonder you don't feel very hungry yet. lol
Shelly, I would love to have a go at building the bedside cabinets, but as they are for Roly's room, he can darn well do them himself. Guess who did most of the decorating the other week, yep moi. I'm blowing my own trumpet now.
Cooee Pat, I nearly missed you then.

The sun is still quite strong this time of the year Rita. I. sorry you've still gto noisy ears. I'm not having my tea still later as I'm not really hungry after eating bacon butties etc . I had another this afternoon. I didn't want to waste it.

I have had my ears syringed and it has cleared the ears so I can hear but I still have the tinitus so it looks like I am left with it. I was upset as I cannot read of concentrate on anything with this noise. I still have four days of antibiotics so perhaps it will slow down ? also the noise of the water rushuing in my ear drum made a noise so maybe that also agravted the noise. trying to cheer myself up.
I have to try and live with it now Rita

Good on you Shelly, Roly is proud of you, and said you were right adding the extra bit of wire to extend it, as long as you have got the earth wire from the ceiling rose to the lamp. Well it must be o.k as it didn't trip out when you turned the electric back on. Roly said it's the first time he's done electrics by remote. LOL It's to late for your apprenticeship now as he's retired, but would have have taken you under his wing any day.
Rita it sounds like you have got wind burn, or sun burn on your face love. Was there any wind where you were sitting watching the ships going in and out. Thanks for the reminder about the postage stamps, we must get some tomorrow when we go up town.
Ahh Yvonne, I hope you didn't pick your germs up at the meet. Sorry to hear you have been bed bound though. Thanks for allowing me to keep the photo, it's a lovely reminder of what was a great day for us. I was toying with the idea of getting my plants yesterday, but knowing my luck, we will have snow by Easter, and I will lose them. May leave them till next month before buying them. Has anyone else started to plant their summer bedding yet.
Shelly is a clever clogs, but, she does worry me with some of the things she has to tackle. Our shed needs the waterproof coating put on it Shelly, the decking needs laying, and the bedside cabinets are still waiting to be built up from two years ago,are you prepared for the extra work. And before you say why don't I do it myself, well, every time I say I will get on and do it, world war three starts in this house. I suppose he thinks I am belittling him, but I do get fed up of waiting. It's now become a standing joke with our family and friends.
I wonder if Marilyn is home yet. Mind you, even if she is, she will be shattered.
Lets hope we hear from Maddie tonight.

Clever Shelly see you never know what you can do till your try.?
I didnt understand what Dermot was on about either. but my ear is so noisy I cannot concentrate on anything to make sense of any thing.
When will Marilyn get back ? or has she deceided to stay for another four weeks. she will have her census to fill up when she gets home.
I have filled mine up but not signed it till the night. then I can get rid of that paperwork, I cleared my desk this morning shreddered loads of paper took it out to the recyle bin. then the council called with a grey bin and bags for food waste. where I am suppose to put it I have no idea the kitchen is that small. I will only cook enough not to waste any or give it too the birds what I dont eat.
The sun is still out here, the sky is blue. this time yesterday I was watching a ship going out of Portsmouth Harbour/ my left side of my face is bright red looks like someone has punched me it is a round red blob.
Need to post a couple of letters when I go out and collect mt TV times and a couple of books. dont forget stamps go up begining of April so if you want to save a few pence buy a couple of books of stamps this.a week.

Shhhh folks, Dermots overdone the sunshine, and is now having a nap. Be careful you don't frighten the sun away, wearing your shorts this early in the year. Talk about " Mad Dogs and English Men go out in the Midday Sun " , but does that apply to an Irish Man, I wonder. LOL

STOP! Don't read this.
Just wondered - is there any gadget to measure my semi-imbecilic mental alacrity on this bright warm afternoon - in my shorts for the first time this year, sitting out with a mug of tea, Chelsea bun, listening to the radio, having survived another 'Woman's Hour' broadcast?
Wouldn't wonder a bit if I fell into a slumber later - so, keep the noise down please.

Hi everyone
I had a lovely day at Portsmouth except my ear started up again.giving me a headache, I am due at the surgery late this afternoon so we will see if it is blocked ear that is causing all this. The weather was lovely in Portsmouth it cost us £12,50 return and took 1 .15 minutes. we sat on the bench overlooking the harour for an hour watching the Isle of Wight and Gosport ferries coming in. then we had a fish and chip dinner and walked alone the front another rest then onto the shopping Mall back again to the Cafe on the peak of the docks where the ships come out. and the place was crowded then I heard a ships horn and out came HMS Collington (I think that was what it was called ) people cheered and waves the sailors were all standing to attention on board one sailor( having a coffeee )stood up and started sending signals as the ship left. I think it must have abeen a special ship. The harbour had lots of sail boats.all with coloured masts . I* was dead tired when I got home at 7 oclock. but it had been a nice day. I have just waved my sister off. she has gone home back to Hampstead. she has her histroical society meeting to night.
Have a good day weather is nice here.

everyone is up early today! The accountants at my place of work are having an early breakfast seminar about the budget. Hopefully they'll be some bacon rolls left over for me! have a nice day. It's Harry Houdini's 137th birthday today! Google said so! Those words you talked about are called palindromes, Dermot. A useless learnt when I was 10! Racecar is a clever one.

Morning all What a lot were around early Thanks Pauline, getting hard to see Mum as she has early stages of dementia and Dad has heart problems, but he has always been a difficult man. And as I don't drive I have to rely on hubby taking me, an hour there and an hour back, so you can't just pop in. Still as I said it was Mum's birthday yesterday and Dad's is 21 st April so they aren't doing too bad.
Have a good day everyone
Will try to get back on later.

Thanks Jean, think I'll have toast with my home made jam, I'll leave the jam out in case anybody wants any.
Did you put your wellies on Shelly?
Stephen, that's why Marilyn came home............ no gin left over there.
Loved the jokes, the short fat visit to the doctors made me laugh the most.
The name 'Hannah' is the same whether it's read from the left or the right.
Hope you have a nice day with your parents today Linda.
I'm going to visit my aunt today, didn't get the chance to see her last week.
