Shelly have you got an Emergency Dental Line in your area. You can't go all over the weekend with an abscess it's much to painful.
Hello Marilyn, good to have you back. Are the electrics working properly in the empty house by you, as we don't want Shelly trying to electrocute herself again.
Hi there Maddie, hope you have a restful weekend ahead, and no work to have to go to.
Cath, enjoy having the little one for the night. It's lovely to look at them when they are fast asleep, they are so angelic.
What a shame about the fence paint Linda. But as you said, it has been so cold out in our sheds,it's not surprising that it has seperated. One of the bonuses of being over 60, is that we get a pensioners discount on Wednesdays, and saved ourselves a lot of money on our paint, when we decorated recently. You will have that ahem, luxury when you reach that age.
I see Stephen popped in earlier, wheres he got to now I wonder.

Good news.
I have managed to buy a property on the South Coast.....where it's always nice and warm....even in Winter.
The neighbours were on Holiday when I went to view the house so they will get a surprise when I move in.
What will they say when I practice the Bagpipes early in the morning. He He He

Evening everyone, just a quick visit tonight as our 2 year old grandson is staying and i need to get him to bed shortly. Marilyn I would be grateful for any help with this marriage its driving me nuts. Alexander Johnston married Ethel Bennett some time after 1920 when he left the army. He was the son of Hugh Johnston and Isabella McCaughey and he was born 1896 in Belfast. I had always been told he married in Belfast but it has recently come to light that he spent some time in New York (via Quebec) arriving 1929 and I am now wondering if he actually married in USA. I have a thread on TTF. Got to go now but will try and pop back later, Fin permitting, lol. ~~~~~~~~ to all
Cath xx

Hi All Well the fence didn't get painted !!! The paint was not new and had seperated. It said should be kept above 5C so it was probably the cold weather through the winter or it is just too old.
We are out to friends when hubby gets home tomorrow so guess I won't get anything bought until Monday at least. Unless my daughter can take me tomorrow.
I did get all the ironing done though even the washing done today.
Reading a new book and did some of that too
Enjoy the weekend. As Pat said it will be short of an hour Ugh need extra time not less.
Might do some knitting tonight

I have been feeling giddy tonight must be the antibiotics? or I have been rushing about too much today

Hi everyone, It's the week-end! Unfortunately it's shorter by an hour! No Marilyn I haven't been a librarian. I've worked for the same place 36 years. It's only since 2006 that I've been an avid reader. I used to knot but I gave that up because I was getting pains in my fingers. Glad you're feeling a bit better Yvonne. Rita I hope the audio books work for you.

Marilyn its your thought you went away and your neighbours missed you. but seriously it is very sad.
I have been out again this afternoon went to the post office to buy two books of stamps before they go up. save a few pennies. then I went into the charity shop to see if they had an audio books to help me sleep she had a big box of them most are new or nearly new. I brought Rebecca and Pride and Prejudice and Brideshead revisted. they were only a £1 each. most were misteries Inspector Morse, Lewis and Agatha Christy as well as a lot of Ruth Rendall mysteries. . I met one of my neighbours he is and ex Candian Airman he asked me if I would like to go to Gosport with him this weekend he said it wont cost you anything and I have a free ferry pass.. I told him I had been to Portsmouth on Wednesday but didnt feel well enough to go again for a while. he said when you feel well enough let me know. This nice man is 89 and has had cancer . he walks everywhere and plays bowls.. I thought that was nice of him to ask me.

Hi all.
Pat.... where you a Librarian at one time ? my goodness does your Library have any books left after your visit ..LOL
Cath ...do you need another pair of eyes for that marriage your looking for ? if so spread it around as one of us might be able to find it for you ..
Poor Rita that tinnitus don't seem to be going away does it .....maybe if you try and forget it it will soon disappear on its own..
Had loads of bad news this morning ...a very young couple my neighbours have split up !! she has gone to live somewhere, he is left devastated . Another older couple has been evicted from the farm house for not paying their rent AND spilt up !! My neighbour opposite me is up for sale ,don't know why YET !!!! although her dad died while I was away and has been left GOLD !! so maybe buy a bigger property.
Its going to be a Ghost Village soon..
Its a lovely day and I have been in the garden pulling up weeds......I hate that job,but its already looking tidier.
Pete is killing all weeds in the driveway with chemicals ,,, better not get any on my boarder flowers or there will be WAR !!
Just about to sit and answer all my mails ...Gosh loads of it.... that's the mail through the letter box......

I'm not convinced about removing layers of clothing. " never cast a clout til May is out" I'm sat at my desk reading my book. One of my favourite occupations!

Pauline, dont let people hear you these days about not being married and living in sin as you put it. lol Prince William and Kate living in sin and hundreds of stars and famous people without us lower citizens .
If our ancestors had been a live now they would not have had to hide the fact they were living together and not married.
I went for a walk to Knapphill village, brought some shopping from the Co-Op then walked to the elderly peoples club paid my subscriptions of 8 shilings a year means I can go to fete or on outings ot have dinner of drop in for a coffee of tea.; while there I made an appointment for my TOE NAILs to be done. one on Marilyn lol. . then I strolled to a charity shop and brought a lovely book on London some really lovely photo's in. caught the bus home. was just having a cup of tea when my friend phoned to say she was bringing me over some famil;y tree magazines she has brought to read. with some disc of Wales. Now she has gone off to buy some fish and chips for our dinner.

It's a lovely day for a walk Rita, get plenty of fresh air while you can, we can never rely on our weather to be the same 2 weeks in a row.
Marilyn, if it's above 12°C I think it's summertime. Up here, we've had people wandering around in shorts and vests all this week. I think it's going to be 10°C today - but that's good enough for me to go out without a coat. Mind you, people up here don't wear coats in the winter......... they're as hard as nails.
Cath, I've been looking for a marriage for about 2 years now and I've come to the conclusion that they just lived in sin.

I am just going to watch the last of the Heir Hunters on BBC 1, this series seems to go so quickly.
I went out for a little walk it is lovely out you do not need a coat. the daffs are out and look besutiful I saw three tubs of minuture daffs they are the smallest I have ever seen no bigger then a thumb nail.
I am going out again later to Knapphill villiage just for a walk around.
