Pleased to hear your friend is doing a bit better Linda, let's hope he continues to improve.
Rita, don't wait too long to go to the dentist, get it done before you get pain. Sorry to hear about little Ryan, it must have been very painful for him. I wonder what caused it. Your family continues to have health problems, nothing seems to go right for them.
Stephen, did you cook that bacon a bit too crispy this morning? Hope you can get it sorted on Tuesday. I've had a look at the holiday places, I like the look of Redcar Lodge, very pretty.
It's been beautiful here today, it must be nice where Pat is as well............ she's put her scarf away!! Have you put your gloves away as well Pat?
Has Jean been on since she had her scan? I hope everything went OK.
Going to put some more washing on the line now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to everyone.
Hi Rita and others Yes the sun is shining again. Been in the outside garden tidying up a bit pruning some shrubs and trying to get rid of some bamboo roots that hubby was tackling lst Autumn. Hopefully it is dead but I know how persistant it is. Just seen my friend, her husband is doing OK now on antibiotics as well. And already fed up with having to stay in bed and the food !!! He must be feeling a bit better.
Enjoy the afternoon, lighter later today yippee
Marilyn,
We have scheduled appointment with the Dentist for Tuesday morning.
Humour ! I smile and you see a gap as wide as the Channel Tunnel. Trains liable to pass through at any moment.
Anyway the roll was only about 4 years old.....should have still been fresh !
If I was in pain you could have sent up some G&T to kill it.
I love the smell of newly cut grass.
Rita, Hope the wee lad is OK soon Not good if not passing urine.
I was having a nice big Bacon Roll when.....CRACK.....some rather expensive Dentistry work snapped off.
I am now missing THREE teeth.
Needless to say I am not a very happy chappy.
Where's the super glue ?
Morning Stephen Thanks for your advice re the fence painting. Hadn't thought about how wet the wood might be !!! We have had good weather for a while now but not long enough to dry it very much. So when hubby asks why it isn't done I'll tell him what you advised me. Back to the cloakroom instead. Will try to paint the ceiling today if I can cope with the ladder. It is such a small space.
Washing finished so got to hang that out next. Just finished the book I started, couldn't put it down. Holidays make me start reading again, trouble is I don't get much else done.
Keep busy eveyone
Morning all,
What a glorious morning.....the sun is already splitting the heavens and showing the hills in wonderful shades of colour.
Linda.....It's a bit too soon to paint outdoors. The wood will still have a lot of moisture in it from the winter. That means your good work wont last very long. I would leave it until the end of May or at the earliest end of April as long as you have had dry weather and some heat from the sun for at least a week before you paint.
Family arriving for tea today. Seems I haven't seen them for ages. I look forward to our wee gatherings. We are not too far from them but we don't live in each others pockets so to speak.
Will be back later........gonna hang my washing out.
Morning All Why am I awake so early? Hubby left for work as usual at 5:00(4 in real time !!!)
Bit misty outside, but hopefully it will warm up a bit and I can get the bathroom mats washed & then dried outside today.
We had a nice meal at friends, the little one is the image of her Mum when she was the same age, they grow so quickly. Mum is 31 this year. Had to leave early as it was an hours drive home, even so we didn't get back toil after 10 and hubby went straight to bed while I read some of my book.
Didn't manage to get fence paint yesterday as the one our local shop had was a gallon tin and I wouldn't have carried it home. Oh well off to the DIY this week if I can persuade hubby after he finishes work.
Have a nice day today everyone
Morning friendlies, Shelly thanks for your help. Alexander was born 2nd December 1895 in Belfast, Ireland. Ethel was born 1896. I am sure they married between 1920 and 1929 and that marriage was in Belfast. I have read his army papers on Ancestry and he was still single when he was demobbed. Hope your toothache is not too bad but if you dont want to see dentist visit your GP for some antibiotics to clear up infection.
A wee bit chilly here this morning, hopefully the sun will be out later. Going to spring clean lounge this morning before the tribe arrive for lunch. Hope you all have a nice relaxing day. Dermot jokes made me laugh. Back later,
Cath xx
Your jokes were good Dermot! Shelley you'll feel better once you've gone to the dentist and got your tooth sorted. Honest! Stephen don't forget you get an hour LESS in bed. I don't think it would mske any difference to Fluffy Paws. I'm going to bed now. Going to start reading the story about the Accountant who's had up for money laundering! Night x
Mo,
I am rather tired, not had a really deep sound sleep for about a week or more.
Mrs Stephen has been wakening me up because she can't sleep......hot flushes she says.....bloody annoying I say.
Then once I'm awake I can't really sleep again.
Shelly.....Get that abscess fixed out, the poison will be all through your system and pulling you down.
The hills were so lovely today again. Bathed in sunshine and a few patches of bright white snow still clinging to the tops. Grand.
Having the family over for tea tomorrow. Home made Steak Pie......can you get anything better ? The steak is simmering gently just now and will be lovely and tender when it comes out from it's final cooking in the oven. Goodness my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Mrs S leaves at 11pm and I'll see her around 5.30am when she gets back.
Night all
