Rita, any news yet?

Now Maddie, we do get the sun sometimes you know............ there's just no heat in it!!

I went to Sunderland today and got suck in a traffic jam - due to roadworks, a crash and a breakdown, all on the same stretch of road. Took over an hour to travel about 6 miles down the 1231 highway. Decided to use the motorway to get back home but found I was stuck in a 10 mile tailback, due to another lot of roadworks. Wish I'd just stayed at home.

Mo, that doesn't tell me anything............ you're never alone anyway!!

Marilyn, has your granddaughter started her holidays already? I thought the schools didn't breakup until Friday.

Afternoon all,
Stephen my OH sings that song to me, lol, and also "When you were sweet sixteen", I'm surprised he can remember that long ago.
We're off next Wednesday, I am looking forward to it but we have a bit of work to do on MIL's garden when we get there. She should fence at least half of it off and just let it grow wild but it was Father in laws pride and joy and she doesn't want to which I do understand.
Mo, how intriguing!! You've got us all guessing now.
Rita hope Mike is ok.
Back later,

Cath xx

Hello all.
Rita ,Mike has been in my thoughts all morning. Is there any news yet love.
I hope you are feeling a little better today.

Pauline, i'm not telling you my secret about where I was yesterday, but saying I was not alone, is enough to be going on with. LOL

What day are you off on your Irish holiday Cath. I am sure you will have a wonderful time, with all the loving memories that you are taking with you.
Take care of the headstone though, you don't want any breakages on the way there.

I am going out in the garden in a minute to creasote the fencing. I just hope the sun doesn't decide to vanish whilst I am out there.

Hello everyone, hope you had a restful night.
Rita, hope you are starting to feel better, it may be worth telling your doctor about the problems with getting your pills from Boots, a few sharp words from him may well make them buck their ideas up.

Breakfast is ready.
cereal, fruit or juice.
on the hotplate -- bacon, eggs, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes
toast, crumpets or pancakes.
coffee, tea.
help yourselves.

Hope you all have a good day,
Take care and stay safe.

You must be getting excited now Cath, I'm sure you'll have a lovely holiday in Ireland.

Rita, you're very good at writing letters............. so put pen to paper and get a letter of complaint written as soon as you feel well enough. Fingers crossed for Mike today.

I didn't see any posts off Mo or Dermot yesterday........... have they ran off together?

Stephen, you got off very lightly with what you said about Marilyn........ LOL

Hi everyone.

Just got back from my day out.......had a great lunch with my Dad he really enjoyed himself, he just wanted to let me know that he needs a holiday !!!!!

I said Dad I don't think so at your age , no insurance company would insure you at your age. but you could go anywhere in this country ....OK he said take me someone and I'll pay ...

But I have my life booked for other things ......haven't got time to take him anywhere ,
God he does not give up .....LOL

Got grand daughter tomorrow, taking her out with my friends on the Moors then on to Tavistock to the country market .

Rita I think you could when you are well enough speak to the manager of that Chemist and tell him your ordeal I'm sure head Office would be mortified at the not so good service that yo never had ...

Stevey are you implying that I'm older than I should be ....Cheeky monkey !!

Awhhh thanks for all your birthday greetings for my Daddy ..LOL

Evening All !

Rita, Seems to be no end to your problems. Hope it all gets sorted soon.

Marilyn, Happy birthday to your Dad. Did he have you when he was just 16 ?

What a hellish day it's been for weather. More rain than we can cope with happily.

Having a late tea,

Cath2010 Report 6 Apr 2011 19:09

Evening all,
Rita you should definitely complain about the awful service from B**ts. That is just not good enough. Fingers crossed for Mike for tomorrow, hope news is better than he expects.
Jean I think you would like Ireland, its very beautiful, the people are unbelievably friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to help with directions etc. Perfect place to travel round by horse and vardo.
Marilyn, Happy Birthday to your dad, I hope he's had a lovely day and enjoyed lunch out.
Pauline your grandmother sounds like a character and I can picture her climbing up on to her cart.
Been a gorgeous warm day here and no wind which was lovely.
Hope everyone is ok,

Cath xx
