Morning all.
Neil's hairdresser must be a nervous wreck when she cuts his hair. My hubby doesn't trust anyone to cut his hair............ I have to do it.
Stephen, it's a lovely day for cutting the grass, and there's no better smell that newly cut grass............. apart from my mother's stottie cakes (that's bread) in the oven.
Rita, things have to get better for you soon, we'll have to get Marilyn on the phone to your doctor, she'll sort it out. I hope the next operation that Mike has will be the last one he needs.
I'm like Mo and Cath.......... I prefer to go shopping without my husband...... he prefers it that way as well.
Shelly, how are you on plumbing? I need a few jobs doing. I had the plumber out yesterday and I gave him a long list of things that need doing.
Maddie, I wear mascara and lippy - never wanted to clog my skin up with makeup. When I was younger I used to wear eyeshadow and false eyelashes........... it was all about the eyes.
Marilyn, shame on you for forgetting to post that card, you'll just have to blame it on your age!!
I don't usually gamble....... don't like losing my money but might pick a horse out today.

Morning everyone Cath I dont bet on Horses either I dont like to see them jump hurdles or race hard with someone with a whip hitting their sides.
I use to bet when I was a lot younger my last bet was when "Sheila, s Cottage ran " I think the second horse I did was called " Russian Hero "many years ago.
I saw that some where about Neil Oliver hair. perhaps he esxpects to go bald quickly hence this insuance..That is vanity.

Morning All !
The sun has got his hat on............and I'm going out to play.
What a glorious day it was yesterday. Could do with a few weeks of this.
Can't put it off much longer. I'll need to get the grass cutter out. Often thought of just letting in a few sheep or a couple of cows. Problem is I don't need much manure, I suppose I could sell that.
Hey ho ! Off I go.
Have a good day ya all !
Maddie,
Neil Oliver has his hair insured for £1,000,000. Wish I had insured mine. I wonder if they would pay out for a 'LOSS'.

Morning everyone, Rita I suspected Labrynthitis a couple of pages back as your symptoms were similar to a friend of mine who suffers with same condition. I do hope the doctor can give you something to help. I have never worn make up except on my wedding day. I'm not doing any horses on Grand National but good luck if you are. Got lots of housework to do today, have to leave house spotless before I go as my two youngest daughters are staying here and are under threat of eviction (lol) if they dont keep it that way. This afternoon taking car for 2 new tyres and wheel balancing etc and then giving it a good clean inside and out, topping up fluids and general check over.
Hope you all have a lovely day, back later,
Cath xx

I could not even get down to do my toe nails. I use to put nail polish on them but that was years ago. Not like out Marilyn the pin up girl I dont know how she manages with her family and her make up.always look nice when we see her holiday photos. No wonder her photo with Linda look good as did Linda. I have never heard of that when putting on eyeliner. and the visa card. good idea that.. I will have to try that when I am making myself up to go out.
The foot guy who comes to me is a bit of all right he is such a nice bloke he is Turkiest orignal well his parents were. He takes such care when doing my feet. I usually go to his clinic but being unwell I could not go so he phoned and said he would call on me. my feet are smaller now no long nails so I cannot climb tree like cats or monkeys..
Marilyn I wish you lived near me I would send you after them at my surgery. and the chemist. My doctor that called said I had Labrinthitis I have never heard of that( I hope I spelt that right )
Nothing much on Tv tonight. anyone got the winner of the Grand National tomorrow ? My sons mother in law went to the races today dressed up she goes every year for Ladies day. she is 2 years older than me.

Evening all, Well its been another beautiful day and had a few minutes while the two youngest were having their naps so sat in garden and enjoyed it. Youngest daughter has just painted my toenails for me as my hands are too shaky to do it without getting half a bottle on my skin, lol. Got to make an effort before my trip. Rita Im sorry you have to wait so long but like Marilyn I would be raising the roof at surgery. I hope Mike will be ok after his op and not have to face further surgery, he too could do with a bit of luck. Glad Ryan is home and hope his problems can be dealt with quickly. Poor little mite. Going up my tree for a while, may be back for some help!! Hope everyone enjoys a nice evening,
Cath xx

Our Doctors have a large place it has three surgeries in three doctors pratices . My doctors have five doctors the one next to mine had 10 and the end one 15, My doctor also has a pracitce in Woking attached to the hospital. so one is on duty at the surgery near me 2 other at the Main surgery in Woking one doctor is on call one has a day off they take it in turns or maybe doing an operation at the hospital. we have pratice nurses three district nurses. Baby nurse unit .midwife unit. deaf unit and diabetic unit and speech unite. The patients are over the top I am sure.always packed in the surgery waiting room. Normally I ask and get an appointment this time I have not. so I will phone in Monday morning for an appointment if not I will try in the afrenoons they open at 8.30 and shut at 6.30 no one works on a Saturday. So I sit and suffer and hope that when i get to see a Doctor he will be able to help .at the moment it is like a pan of sausages sizzling away.
This block of flats are empty this evening The Esate Manager is on her way to Poland the guy in one of the flats is off at his Lady friends wont see him till tomorrow. and the Old fellow and his wife have gone off to bingo with their nephew
The thing is it puts me off going away or anywhere as it is so distressing. If I win the Lotto tomorrow night you know what I will do private medical care.

Hi Rita.
Nobody should wait two weeks for an appointment....now get on that phone and see ANY doctor for an appointment for a letter.......gosh I'm glad I'm not there I would raise the roof ...
If I can see any doctor at my surgery on the day I ring ,then its got to be common practice all over the country ....I'm not saying you'll see your doctor but there is always a duty doctor on every day ......don't let them bluff you. if necessary tell them its urgent !!
Off my soap box for the time being ..LOL
What a great day ,I have been in the field today walking around ,looking at all the wild life ,lots of butterflies . Its my youngest sons birthday today ......guess what ? I forgot to post his card what with my friends staying I really did forget ,so I'm in the dog house !! I sent him a 123 card on the internet as a peace offering ..LOL But he said it was not the same as it is my 40th mum, not just any old birthday ... Oh dear .......
He forgets his dads birthday often ....well that's different he says ..LOL

Afternoon all
caught up with all your posts
How are you today Rita? Sending positive thoughts to you, Mike and Ryan.
It's been very sunny here
Son has finished college for 3 weeks, he's going to a friends next week for a couple of days. He has his driving test soon.
Mil's funeral was Monday, at the village church, lots of people there, mostly from the local bowls club where her husband plays. Before she became ill she used to do the catering for matches. It was a nice service and the sun was shining.

Morning folks, Maddie I'm like you and sure I suffer with same syndrome. I love light sunny mornings and long days. Can't be doing with cold and dark. We have no sparrows in our nesting boxes yet which is strange as by now they are usually my alarm clock, one box is outside our bedroom window. Have a good day, whatever you're doing, ~~~~~~~~~~~~to all,
Cath xx

Evening All !
I've been able to sit and enjoy some HOT sun today. A cup of coffee, hills in view, birds singing, a magic hour of peace.
Rita, Prayers for you and the family.
Traffic Jams, The lambs will soon be creating mayhem in the Glen. Loads of dead pheasants on the roads just now. What we need is a Pheasants Crossing I can just see a wee Pheasant in a Yellow Jacket with a Lollipop Stick. At least the cows have horns. ROFL.
Gonna watch Maddies heart throb. (Ken Dodd I think it is)
Back later

Rita you really are having a rotten time lately. Don't worry about getting on here or thinking of us. Im not surprised you're not feeling yourself but just remember we are all here for you. Hope you hear from Mike soon and little Ryan is ok. ((((((((((BIG HUGS)))))))))) just for you.
Marilyn it can be expensive in Ireland, not too bad in Wexford where we go but still a lot cheaper foodwise than here in Guernsey. Pat I love caramel shortbread, could just do with a piece now, lol. Hope you are all ok, Mo I love my OH too but like you say we sometimes need a little space from them especially when shopping. Cath xx

I have had no news from Mike as yet. ? it is a stressful day at the moment Ryan is having his MRI and other tests done today. as well.
I have the noise but in my ears. I went for a walk this morning to get out of the house. I went into the chemist and asked for my two perscription that had been handed in 8 days ago. they said they had not. had them,( as I am stressed out I got confused and could not think when they had been given to the chemist?) she said she would put the order in today. I told her I had three days left of one of the tablets.
I went back home as I wasnt feeling too good. telling myself think positive. when I got home I phoned my doctors thinking I am going for a nervous breakdown at this rate? I explained what had happened she checked and said the perscriptions were there and Dr was signing them before he left at lunchtime. she told me she would give them to the girl who collected the perscriptions and ask for them to be deleivered to me today. she was also writing a letter to give to the chemist. sure enough at 3, 30 my perscriptions arrived..
I dont seem to have any good news nothing is going right thats why I have not been on as my normal self.
but I do think of you all.

Pauline, "Me and my shadow" comes to mind. But yesterday Roly was working in my son's showroom, so I spent the day with my friends. It was lovely to be able to look around the shops, and not have a little voice saying, "are you nearly finished yet, can we go home now". As much as I lurves him, I do like my own space at times, or I would go crazy.
Pat, you greedy girl, wheres our cakes then. You could have posted them down the cyber hatch for us, were not proud, a few crumbs wouldn't have mattered. LOL
Still no news from Rita yet then. Oh boy, I hope all is going to be o.k. She has had enough to cope with just lately bless her.

Pauline,
My grand kids go to private schools and get 4 weeks holiday at Easter .....don't ask me why !! I think its disgusting ,with the money the parents pay. but they have been off a week already .
I have just done a curry ........, we were going out but changed our minds , just as good as a restaurant curry and a lovely red wine ... grand daughter is having spaghetti on toast, her choice.
The sun is still shinning here at my back patio and all I can see is the Pheasants, plucking away for some juicy seeds ....that they are not having. as they attacked me last year.. LOL
