Hello everyone, I'm glad it's the week-end. I think it's been a long old week. I've gone back to wearing my hat. I couldn't think straight at work. Hopefully Monday will be better!

Friendship among Women:
A woman didn't come home one night. The next morning she told her husband that she had slept over at a friend's house. The man called his wife's 10 best friends. None of them knew anything about it.
Friendship among Men:

I find the schools here have different holidays they break up here a week before they do in Hertfordshire and some schools in Hertfordshire have a week longer whether they have a shorter holiday during the year I have no idea. my grandchildren have two weeks holiday in Middlesex. I wonder if they work out the school year and then each school area choose the holidays.
It was bedlum in the Shop this morning kids running everywhere one was even going around on his scooter he must have been about 9 years old and the shop was full of older people shopping trying to get around the children. why do mother lets their children run riot like that ? there is a children palyground right outside the store.
I had fun today. one of my neighbours was booked to do her washing in the laundry and she could not open the door so she rang me I tried and could not . I said it is blocked somehow inside/ I tapped on the window to see if someone was in there went around the back to see if the window was open incase someone had got in there. in the end I told my friend come in to my flat and pull the cord( as our Estate Manager is on holiday in Poland not due back till next monday night). asked the problem she told them he said I will phone you back when I have found something out. still not phoned back half an hour ten minutes still not so she pulled the cord again he said someone is on their way to see to it. It was a estate manger from another block of flats I knew her . she tried with my keys it would not open I said no one can use that laundry till next tuesday if the door is not opened. I said perhaps WD 40 would do it she had some in her car it lossen the lock but not the door at the top and bottom. someone came along and threw his self at the door and the door flew open in he went. now with the catch up people can get in and out now. needeless to say the door is well oiled.. so I had to tell people they would be and hour at least late for using the machines in the laundry.

Morning All,
Stephen was out tidying some tools in one of the sheds.
Where's my Breakfast ? Is the cook on Easter Hols ?
Today is tidy up day. Loads to sort through and put back in their alloted place. I'm sure they have feet and just wander off when I'm not looking. Why my Chainsaw moved from the Gardening Shed to the Garage is anyones guess.......it wasn't my doing. It's too dangerous to leave lying around.
Looking forward to the family coming home. Big hugs from my wee angels.
Have a good day ya all.

Hope you're feeling better today Linda, wonder what it was. When does little M and her family go away?
Maddie, you'll adore Olly, he's gorgeous, looking at his photo makes you want to pick him up and give him a big hug.
Wonder why the kids down there get 3 weeks off and they only get 2 weeks here. They don't all get the same 2 weeks though.......... so it makes it seem like 3 weeks when I go for the shopping. I hate shopping when the kids are off.

Morning all Up early as hubby hasn't gone to work he has toothache and an appointment at lunchtime. I have little this morning as her nursery has closed for Easter. But hubby and I are going to a concert this evening and need to get to Wycombe to see his Dad first, so not all day. I was unwell yesterday, don't think it was anything I ate but I was sick and in bed by 8 consequently I slept fitfully all night.
Oh well it's a new day today.
Take care everyone
Linda :o) XxX

Mo, I think we all feel we should have done more after we've lost a parent. I went to see my mam every day, but the morning she died I was late. I feel I should have known how near the end she was and stayed with her the night before.
Yvonne, I'm not sure if I could have coped with the loss of my parents if I hadn't had my siblings for support. I'm glad your husband has you and your son for support.
Shelly, I dread to think of the mayhem if my son and your youngest were together. Did you ever have to pay for the lock on the school door?

Ah Shelly bless your youngest son. I would have loved to have seen him trying to pump that inner tube up. I bet he had muscles like popeye by the time he had finished with it. What a shame he didn't put his programme on record, he wouldn't have missed it then.
Pauline all the children around here have broken up for Easter already. In fact they broke up last Friday, and crikey dont we know it. Trying to get round the supermarket, with kids running all up and down the aisles, is not an easy job.
Yvonne, I'm pleased that your OH seems to be coping with the loss of his mum. I think we can all have regrets, about how we should have acted before losing a relative, and how we should have done things differently, speaking from the experience of when I lost my mum. I felt I should have visited her more often than I did, but with having a family, it was not so easy to do.
It's good to hear you had a better sleep last night Rita. How are you feeling in yourself today.?

Hello everyone
just about to have a bit of lunch. on my own today, apart from the dog, OH has taken his dad shopping and son has gone to a friends for a couple of days,
Mo, OH seems to be ok about his mum, he's an only child too, his mum and dad divorced when he was 16, she moved away and OH stayed with his dad cos he was doing his GCSE's and still at school, they kept in touch and he visited her when she got settled in her own place. We saw her 2 or 3 times a year, wish it could have been more but with work and family it wasn't always possible. She had been ill for a few years after a stroke.
pleased you got a bit more sleep Rita,
talk later x
