Morning All,

Thanks for the breakfast Jean.........needed that......I've already been out in the garden working. Sadly my lovely daffodils are beginning to wilt now. Have some tulips coming along nicely along with loads of other plants.

Dentist at 8.30am. The continuing saga of my broken teeth. Going to have a few more visits before all is fixed.

Makings of another lovely day here. We're being spoiled just now.

Pauline, You must get to London. The History is fantastic. Loads of great Museums and lovely buildings to look at. Take plenty of money though.

Hey ho off I go.

Have a good day ya all !

Sorry Pauline,
You popped in while I was typing.
I love the fascinators !!!
I think I will re use the outfit from my daughters wedding last year !!! I was hoping to wear it again, nobody from our wedding party has been invited to the Royal Wedding, so I should get away with it, don't you think.

Thanks for the cuppa.
Just watched the weather and today should be warmer than most of Europe, with London hitting 25C. And it should stay over Easter for a change. Yippee.

Morning Rita and everyone else
Looks OK here this morning, the sun is up, but havene't been out yet.
Hubby went back to work this morning, leaving at 5:00am. Hope he is better than he has been.
Yesterday was a surprise. Went to get some food in from the local shop, just back and putting it away and there was a car pulled onto our drive. It was my penfriend from Australia and her husband. They just drove across from Hayes(Middlesex), Rita, near your daughter. They took a chance we would be home. We had lunch together and chatted while little slept. Then when she went home we went out to dinner. I had steak and king prawns(surf and turf) it was very nice. They will be back again before they leave in 4 weeks time. They hope to drive as far as Berwick in Scotland(IThink), seeing family and down to Devon then staying here for a few days too.
Tonight I am out with friends for my birthday and one friends too. Then the other friend has her birthday on 7th May too. It's all celebrations isn't it.
Must try to plant up my tomatoes today and get them growing on. Maybe while little M sleeps after lunch.

Have a good day everyone

Rita did you sort out seeing somebody privately about your ENT? Did the consultant get back to you.? Hope it eases soon.

Have the early birds slept in this fine morning?

I didn't see that programme Rita, what channel was it on?

Sorry I haven't got time to make breakfast but I'll make a cuppa.

(_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)?

Mo, that is a dilemma, it's a very long way to travel for a one day event. My nephew lives in Berkshire and he flies up if he's only going to be here for a day........ but it works out expensive. How long does it take on the train Stephen?

Mo, the train would be less stressful and quicker than driving for you and Roly, you could book in somewhere nice and make a little holiday of it. But I think your idea about a family celebration at a later date would probably be the only solution for the rest of your family. Have any of your other children been asked to be God Parents?

Maddie, I've never been to London, so I'll just leave it up to you to book us in the best place. Are you wearing a hat or a fascinator?

morning all looks like we mighjt be getting rain here I watched the sun come up this morning what a lovely sight that was. I use to stand on the clift at Caister in Norfolk and watch it come up from the back of the sea that took my breath away.

Not a good night last night I had a job sleeping took a couple of paracetmols to try and get off to sleep. what I would not give to have a week of quiet instead of this tinnitus.hammering a way in my ears.

Did anyone watch the Kate Middletons family programme last night ?
what a shambles that was. why did they show it ? the members of her family quiet distant ones did not not even dress themselves to look nice and two stood outside some sheds and bragged about being part of the royal family. to be part of the royal family they need royal blood. not just a name poor Kate wonder what she must have felt looking at that. if she did ?

Would going by Train or Bus be a possibilty ?

I used to leave Edinburgh at 7.30am by train. Have a meeting in London.
Back on the train and usually home by 9pm at the latest. Relaxing.

Mo in Kent Report 18 Apr 2011 18:46

Oh my word Dermot, how true that is.

Shelly, Lilly has just come back from a holiday in Scotland. She was visiting her great grandparents, and family.
She was thoroughly spoilt, and nursed nearly all the time. Before the holiday, she was happy to lay on her play mat, and chatter away, now she will not settle when she is put down, and cries if she is not cuddled in all the time. Oh boy have they got problems, they have now got to get her settled again
She has really grown in the ten days she was away. She still has the smile of an angel, when she is not grizzling.

We have got a big problem, with them arranging her christening up in Scotland.
Our family have said they can't make the journey up and back again, in one weekend.
Three of our grandchildren have got major exams, in the time that the christening has been arranged, so their mums and dads have said they won't be going.
It has caused a lot of bad feeling within the family, but we are stuck in the middle of it.
We can fully understand S wanting her daughter christened in the church, that she and her dad were christened in.
But we can also understand our other kids feelings, and know that they have to put their childrens futures first.
As it is, we are not sure if we could take the journey ourselves. It is an awful long way to go, for just two days, but then Lilly is our grandaughter.
The only other solution we can think of, is to have a family celebration, when they come back.
Oh boy what should we do folks. Could I please have your opinions.

* An Easter Week thought - c&p from an e-mail:-

A holy man was having a conversation with God one day and said, " God, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like".

God led the holy man to two doors.

He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished.

They were holding spoons with very long handles, that were strapped to their arms and each found it impossible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful.

But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

God said, 'You have seen Hell.'

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one.

There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water.

The people were equiped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, 'I don't understand..'

It is simple,' said God . 'It requires but one skill. You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves.'

Pauline,

'Fluffy Paws' is the best behaved pair of Paws you will ever meet.

I have never known him to rub someone up the wrong way. ROFL

Man Flu. We really try it on because we just love the attention given to us by our nearest and dearest.

Patricia,

You'll have a better time at the Wedding if you come with us.

Rita,

I agree with Pauline, sign up for the next replacement Alarm.

Rita, you'll see that alarm out no bother, put your name down for the next one.

Stephen, there's a reason fluffy paws hasn't been out for ages......... he needs to be kept on a short leash.

The Surrey Fire Service come and fit your fire alarm in free of charge when your over 65 I am told it is a ten year one. so it will see me out. lol

Stephen I once saw my mother in Law with a barrow load of cement walk up a hill with a rope around the barrow and wrapped around her waist.
that is the truth. my father in law and her had been doing a path at the top of her pathway to the house and he had been taken ill and was taken to Tingel hospital in Cornwall where they had brought a house bcause of Dads health. no one knew what she was doing we had a call from the hospital that Dad was dying and wanted to see us. so we drove down from Ealing to Tingel hospital. called in to see him first before going onto their house in Camborn. that was how we caught her. my husband took over the job. Dad lived on for another three years. so we were always getting calls to go as he was dying.
They lived up a hill such a climb it was . you could not drive up the hill you parked your car at the bottom and walked up. slowly.
Mum sold the house and came to stay with me till she found a place in Bervie Scotland where her brothers and sister lived and she was born.

Have we been invited to the Royal Wedding then. Pauline and Maddie with new hats Lol

Morning

bit behind this morning my mobile radio went wrong spent ages trying to fix it. still not right. but left it till I could have a good think. then the min hifi went wrong. think I must have a monky on my shoulder.
what next ?

My Estate Manager is back from Holiday and she came to see me about all that went on while she was away. laundry room door broke and the small window strip came off of the my small window in the flat allows the rain and wind to get through she has banged it back on. till she can get someone to look at it.
Then John a neighbour came to say he is going to Devon for three days incase someone wanted to get intouch with him.

He goes there to see relations and to take flowers to his wifes grave.
I then answered some emails
so time has gone bye so quickly nearly 9 .30
I have to make a call to the Fire Service so must do that now.

Hope you all have a good day.
