Stephen my four times great Grandfather also named James McCallum has this written on the Births form . This space is approprated to Mr James McCallum Farmer of Auchnauld 2nd May 1802 a son born to James McCallum and Janet McCallum wife Auchnault. then it goes on 2nd May 1802 a son named John. 7th January 1805 a son Petter 24th February 1810 a son Duncan 23rd March a 1814 a son James ( this is my three times GT Grandfather ) 24th February 1816 a daughter Jane( called Jessie )
12th January 1818 a daughter Janet.
I wonder if that farm is still there ? it seemed strange to have them written down all together.
John is the one I said was a Pipe Major 2nd Battalion of The Royal Scots and played at Edinburgh Castle which you can see on the website.
I have also got Jessies death certificate she died at Canon bridge R & C I have got all their wedding only my Gt Grandfather James who Married Margaret Graham I have not found
Just thought I would tell you about the scottish side of the family. they were auctioneers as well and had a place in Dingwall which a cousin told me was sold and pulled down and a supermarket built on the ground.
I am off to bed now. I was doing some research and working on McCallums files.

Good Evening All.
Hurrah, I have taken 30 minutes to get onto Friendly. What is happening again?
We got off and out early this morning, and schlepped around Oxford Street, Sales everywhere. Needless to say, we came home empty handed.
Son and new GF were up there, separate to us, and he came home with a load of stuff from Primark. Because he is tall and slim, he can wear anything straight off the peg. So he got some good bargains.
Hope George got to Paddington ok. The only reason we ever go there is to catch the train to Devon/Somerset. Now that is a journey and a half. :-P
Wish you better Linda. Do go back to the Docs if all is not well. There is more than one medication for each illness. Perhaps you have not found the tablet that suits you best.
0000000000000000000000000 for Jean.
Hope everyone is well and happy.
See ya later.
:-)

I looked at the news channel to see what people were wearing. Some of the hats were very strange and big. :-( I wouldn't want to have been sat behind some of the big hats becuase I wouldn't have been able to have seen anything.!

I was looking forward to seeing the Duchess of York at today's wedding.
Another disappointment. Her girls did her proud though. Good on them!

Morning everyone. George your zimmer frame is extra special then. it is a good job your being collected from the station hope you have a good time in Paddington. I lived not far from there grew up in Willesden, and had family in Paddingtong.
Stephen that was interesting. about the Scottish flag. of course your not proud of being a true Scot my Grandmother would have made a terrible fuss of you. do you reconize any of the names on my Research in Scotlands part ? thats where the family came from. I have a copy of the baptisim records of three x Great Grandfather James McCallum his father my four times Great Grandfather had all five of his sons baptised on the same day he had booked a block booking for that. He had a farm so I suppose he was busy havesting and doing what farmers do.lol
Nice day today hope you all have agreat weekend.

Morning all Sorry I haven't added for a few days. Not much to tell but a bit stressful and spent some time with my daughter as she wasn't too well. But she is OK now. Still taking the tablets for the dizziness, must go back to Dr and see what he says. Need tooth taking out appointment in 3 weeks to decide what they suggest as so little left not much to pull on!!! Why didn't it all fall out together eh? Been for a walk to get hubby's paper, so done some exercise before it gets too hot. Looking good for today. List of stuff to do, including grass cutting and ironing so must away.
Hope everyone is well.
Special thoughts for Jean oooooooooooooo Jean ooooooooo

CLOUD APPRECIATION
Hows about this then..........
ATHELSTANEFORD IS IMPORTANT NATIONALLY
Important for all Scotsmen the world over
For tradition says near this place in times remote Pictish and Scottish Warriors about to defeat an army of Northumbrians
Saw against a blue sky a great white Cross like Saint Andrew's, and in its image made a banner which became the Flag of Scotland.
Thus the Scottish Flag had its origin in 832,
Born in the clouds.
An important fact which was commemorated here in Athelstaneford on 30th November 1965 when a Plaque was unveiled, and the Flag of St. Andrew unfurled to fly permanently and proudly in the breeze
And also on that same day, we witnessed to the fact that the Scottish Flag is the oldest Flag in the British Commonwealth and the oldest National Flag in Europe.
Another piece of useless information.

Evening All.
Agatha, I hope you have a lovely time.
The sun didn't shine here today, so another nuffink day.
Oh George, dont tell me you were one of those experimental types. Shock. Horror. Gasp. One of those who tuned in and dropped out.
We are going to West End tomorrow, so need to get there early, before the marauding hoards get down there.
Went to Camden Square this morning. I though I would leave it until it was a decent time.
Amy's house is still cordorned off by Police tape. A security man is sitting outside on a chair, with a collection of wreaths propped up against the wall of the house. Opposite there is a grass verge. There is a collection of flowers, fag packets, beer cans and vodka bottles.
There were about 20 people there this morning, mostly youngsters. Probably students. There was a young girl standing there swaying. She was playing Amy's music through her phone. I couldn't help but wonder if she ever listened to it when Amy was alive. It was just too fabricated. Some bloke was banging on about courting publicity. I dunno. I left as soon as I could. I felt very uncomfortable with it all.
Maybe I am just too cynical.

Talking about these clouds Dermot is on about. Have you every laid in a deck chair and watched the clouds, they seem to take different shapes. my sister and I when we see one that is so different to any we have seen before we take a photo. you can see ships, faces, birds, fiqures in the cloud shapes no I am not mad if I am I must be like Dermot. one of the Cloud people. lol
I did an ink painting of the sea and clouds all done with ink and water.I had it framed and in my hall in Norfolk. it was a talking point when people came in. Rita
