Hi George nice to know you had a good day did you go with Foggy ? I bet you did have a lot of laughs. I am like that when I go out with my sister, when I go to Hampstead near the Heath where she lives we go into town and we laugh all the way there and back. we always find something amusing.
I am of to watch a little bit of TV then will sit and read some more of my book.
I think we might have rain again later on. and my son is sitting at a lake near Sandhurst fishing with some friends he went yesterday and stayed over night.

Evening all,
Hope you all have had a brilliant day whatever you have been doing.
Went to Swindon today, good day. First to a shopping area with a large asda, got a couple of shirts, then to the old railway termenal or shunting yard where there is now an outlet....had lunch there, then into Swindon town. All in all a good day with lots of laughs along the way.
George

Shelly didnt know you had a Kindle.? you dont need to dust the books either having one of them. me I love to handle a book when I am reading. at one time I collected M & B's Histroical Novels I had three shelves full.after four years I gave them to Charity shop. now I have a vast collection of diferent type books on Histroical London all books on the history of London and then I have some Novels and Histroica;l Novels among others. Cath I hope the surprise dinner goes off well 21 years old I was married at 20 and the next year when I was 21 the firm I worked for gave me a party my husband worked there as well at that time . I still have two books I was given by friends. with happy 21st written on them. when i was having my daughter they gave me a Baby shower that was in 1952 it was an American Company Remington Rands.
Agatha I was like that when I lived in Norfolk I had twice as many rooms and all bigger than I have here so I had built in book cases from floor to ceiling all full of books that I wanted to keep the others as I said went to the market stall. where I swapped them for new books
I have been to the surgery I saw the nurse from the hospital such a nice person. I had test done on my legs and feet and blood pressure done on my feet and toes then n on my legs and then my normal blood test she said it was lower than usual so she was pleased. I have cream for my rash on my legs and I am going to try thin elascated stockings, I have to go back in September what a busy month that will be I have the Cancer clinic for scan results to see if it is still dormant also wafain blood test and the Dentist that is after I come back from the wedding. Oh happy days .

Afternoon folks, Linda good to hear from you, sorry you're still not too well. ((((hugs)))). I hope all goes well for your daughter at the scan. I have spent the best part of today organising my youngest daughters 21st birthday surprise meal. All going to plan at the moment :-D I can't believe she will be 21 already, where did the years go. We all tend to spoil her as when she was only a week old she was extremely ill and we feel privileged that she pulled through. She was very lucky to survive. <3 <3 Must get on with tonights meal (Fajitas) or the tribe will be home and no grub on the table :-(

Rita, I gave my Vampire books to the church fete. Some books I just lend to friends and say don't worry about giving them back. Some books I keep myself. It all depends. If it's the second Elizabethan era I'd be a Serving wrench ;-) Going shopping now!

Morning all Sorry I have been absent. Still not really myself, but I will get there. Not sure retiring was the best thing. I don't feel like I have achieved much? The garden is tidier, but hubby has been cutting shrubs back and edging the lawn as it grows so quickly when it is damp and warm. Have been for a walk this morning, we took the car in for a service and walked back from the garage. It's overcast so not very nice. Our daughter is at the hospital this morning for a scan and might be given a more accurate date. Will let you know as she has had some problems. Have just booked some time away, we are off to Cornwall, 2 different B&B's after a couple of nights in Usk where we will go to the Country show. Glad the treatment is going along OK Jean. Hope everyone else is well too.
I'll try harder to keep adding each day and keep in touch
Linda :-) <3 <3

I suppose we are living through the 2nd Elizabethan era.
From what I read about Queen Elizabeth I, times were hard then too. They suffered from the odd bout of looting & pillaging also.

Waffles please Jean, I've been watching Mildred Pearce and her waffles make you hungry, I'm glad your side effects are not so bad. Cheer up Rita, you are entitled to your opinion just like everyone else and if they do not like it, they can always put their opinion across also, it would be a boring old world if we all thought the same. Have a Fabulous Friday, Maddie, Pat, Pauline, Rita, George, Foggy, Dermot, Marilyn, Yvonne, Sally, cath, Shelly, Jenny, (HAVE I MISSED ANYONE) <3 <3

Morning all, wet and grey here at the moment, fingers crossed it will brighten up later. Jean I'm glad you don't feel too bad this time, like you said your body is probably getting used to the drugs. Take care to rest up whenever possible though. I bet Scarlett is gorgeous. :-D Rita don't let people upset you on the boards, we all have different opinions and just because we disagree with others doesn't mean we are wrong and they are right or vice versa. Hope everyone is well and has a good day <3 <3 <3

Hello friendlies, hope you all had a peaceful night. Looks like a wet day is expected here, wonder if we have had our summer. Breakfast anuone?? Cereal or fruit, Bacon, eggs, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms and beans. Hot rolls, toast or waffles. Tea or coffee. Wonder how Stephen is enjoying his holiday. I hope anyone who has been poorly is feeling better now.
The side effects I've been having to the chemo are not as bad now, my body must be getting used to the drugs now. Scarlett is fine, full of mischief, just a normal 17 month old, and I love her to bits.
Take care and stay safe. Jean xx :-) :-) :-)
