I thought the word was snotting when i first read it then put my reading glasses on saw what it was but din not understand this northen talk ROL many of my family come from Durham and I cannot understand them when we meet.
George tell Foogy not to be afarid we dont bite unless we are hungry. and we are really a silly lot on here we are all the same just like to have a good laugh and support each other.
Marilyn did you get a chance to read the Devon FHB ? I looked at the New members list and saw my Great Grandmohers name down and Hemyock. so I emailed the man and asked him what connection he had with the family ? if it was my side then I can go right back to 1666 from the Quakers I have the full tree someone gave it to me about 5 years ago she lives in Australia .I have wills as well as the Quakers lists of Births Deaths and Marriages.. he contacted me this evening but he has sent me some names and births so I am going to check through tomorrow. I have pages and pages to go through. That piece about Rockbeare which is in the book is where one my Gt Gt Gt Grandmother was born and married. and there is also one there was only 513 people living in that village in 1850 on the next page it has one of my ancestors George Lee Smith and Vict New Inn thats in South Milton
Tomorrow I have the foot Doctor coming to do my toe nails,I will beable to get my Ballet shoes on,
Night

Night Maddie, sleep well :-) Mo, I hope your granddaughter will be ok. Must have been a bit of a shock for her. Pat, don't overdo the gym. ;-) You will put the rest of us to shame. Going to read for a while as I'm getting nowhere with my tree tonight and it's making me bad humoured :-0 Hope the weather improves for the long weekend. <3 <3 <3

Hi George, no that's Mo the Rocking Granny, on F.B. But I am on there, with my happy smiley face on. lol ;-) so is Jeni Wren, but obviously not under that name. Foggy knows what the other Mo looks like, as she was at the Victoria meet as well, and Foggy does take her to some other meets as well.
Pat, I had to laugh at your saying you had to hang on for dear life on the treadmill. You are at least brave enough to do it, more than I would be.

Hello everyone, I'm back from the Gym. I cycled a mile, rowed 500 metres and walked 15 mins. on the treadmill. I hang on for dear life in case I fall off! :-S Stephen had been gone nearly a month. He went off just after I booked my Scotland holiday and that was the beginning of August. I've got a thing about dates. I've got an elephant memory although i forgot someone's birthday last week. I don't give Steve a card but I pride myself on remembering. Jean hope you feel better soon. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Hello folks. I think our Stephen has taken himself off to the island of his dreams. He loves to go there when he wants a bit of peace and quiet. I am sure he will be back soon, as he will have withdrawal symptoms, being away from our teasing. He loves it. ;-)
Pauline I am pleased you explained what stotting meant, it had me confused as well.
I think we have nearly all had the awful weather today. It's been tiddling it down nearly all dy today, and outside its as black as a cole hole, miserable.
Cath, I think this is a week for accident prone kids. My grandaughter, who is nearly 19, was redelivering a letter that had been put through their door by mistake, by the postman yesterday. She knocked on the neighbours door, and when it was opened their dog leapt up and bit my grandaughter on her leg. My daughter has informed the police, and they are going round to take a statement from my grandaughter tonight. Fortunately J has had her tetanus injection, but the dog broke the skin on her leg, and it's badly bruised. I just thank god that J wasn't badly injured. But had that been a smaller child, the dogs mouth would have clamped right around it's leg, and lord only knows what damage it could have done.
No news yet on Jeniwren(Jean). <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 ooooooooooooooo((((((((((HUGS FOR JEAN)))))))))ooooooooooooooo
Right I am going to try and send this post now, as I lost the last one :-)

C'mon Foggy, don't be shy, we won't bite. :-D Stephen is definitely gone a long time, perhaps he's found a deserted island and decided to stay :-P :-P :-P Raining here again, I'm just about given up with summer. It's so dark and dismal outside even the dog doesn't want to go out. Pauline you are right about my daughter being like Shellys son, in fact both my youngest girls were very accident prone when younger, I was always in A&E with one or the other having limbs set, stitches etc. Some of the things they got up to you wouldn't believe. My middle daughter (then aged 9) got run over by next door neighbours 6 year old who was riding about on a ride on lawnmower!!!! His mum said "oh it's ok we removed the blades for him". :-S :-S :-S Honestly, some people shouldn't have children.

Linda, I had a look at that paint on Google, I'd never heard of chalk paint before, it looks good, you'll have to send us a photo of your handy work when you've finished.
Rita, stotting means bouncing, the rain was so heavy it was stotting off the ground. I didn't think stotting was just a northern word. Thankfully it wasn't stotting too long.
Dermot, it wasn't your own birthday you forgot was it? God help you if it was your wife's birthday.
George, I'm sure Foggy would like us if he gave us a chance, and as he thinks of us as young................. we definitely like him.
I think it's time to call in the air-sea rescue for Stephen, he's been gone too long.

Spiders Marilyn, I hate them, I check my bed before I get into it this time of year. Maybe Stephen liked where he went so much, he stayed. Good afternoon George, Dermot, I think you can stop looking for Gadaffi, I'm watching sky news and I think they have him surrounded. I hope things soon get better for Jean.

Good afternoon The rain has passed through and we have a lovely sunny break. Hubby is sitting in the sun having a siesta after coming in from work, well he was up at 5:00.
I finished the chest of drawers, and I am quite pleased with them. They certainly look nicer in the room than the old french polish would have done. Next I have the dressing table to do.
Well not sure what we will have for dinner yet will sort that out next.
Have a nice evening everyone
Linda :o) Xxx
PS I have had trouble adding and getting the error message, for the first time. Then it added 4 times !!!!

It is raining heavy here I looked out the window and the car park was once again like a lake. good job I dont have a car and have to go out to get into it,. ?
Marilyn did you get your Devon Family Historian Book ? mine has just come. not had a chance to look through it yet. as friend just brought a New family History magazine this months and she gave me it to read before she did . she said it had an article on Norfolk and Trace your Celtic Cousins articles. so I have plenty to read during this bad weather.
I hope the rain stops later on so I can go and get my Take a Break and Chat books I want to do my puzzels.
I am going to Scotland tomorrow with my kilt on and play the bagpipes to see if it makes Stephen want to come home. mmmmm maybe not it might make him stay away for good. Linda you are woking hard youyr making me feel tired

Morning all the Friendlies It is dire here. It was lighter when I got up at 7:00. It is so dark I have lights on, and it is tipping down. So I won't be going out or doing any washing today. Just some ironing as always.
Pauline the paint is by Annie Sloan, you can find it on the internet. I'll let you know how the second coat goes today.
I have cleared the small bedroom this morning as my daughter wants to stay for 2 or 3 nights as her partner is working at the Reading Festival. Poor thing I think it's going to be another wet and muddy weekend there. It was quite a job as everything from the double room was in there too. I must sort out all my stuff, but how do I get rid of it? I know I am a hoarder, or keeper.
I'll try to get back on later.
Healing thoughts for Jean oooooooooooooooooooo <3 <3 <3ooooooooooooooo
