Silly Sausage Report 20 Dec 2008 11:28

I disagree, althought last year I thought this may be the problem but having read about it it doesnt seem to be , as Elaine has said they are different people total different, with this condition they can be male one day and female the next when they look in the mirror they are the people who they beleive they are not the shell others see.

One here it isnt so, the person detest and blames the same people for their misfortunes the same message is clear they claim to be bullied and harassed and very depressed I think its more like a Persecution complex.

Morning Rose, I think you have identified the problem , had me puzzled for a while but I can only agree with your diagnosis.

I had it down as hoax and delete syndrome !

The point is, if someone really did have this disorder, then you wouldn't see them with several other totally seperate people, in one place who also appear to have the same disorder :o)))

Hi all

There are so many Mental Health Disorders and some need help and some will never know they need help, but what I have found in my life experiences is, is to ignore them as they are the ones with the problem and by answering acknowledging them, they enjoy the attention they gain.

It is sad that we have to do this but it is to protect our own sanity.

I'm sure some just cant help themselves.Others just do it for the sheer h**l of it.
Maybe looking out the bottom of a glass doesnt help them either...they see double.

I think that it is probably impossible to even guess at some of the problems some people have. As some have said - a psychiatrist would have a field day on this and other sites.

Morning Mildred...I posted this because the other night I was trying to remember the expression 'Multiple Personality Disorder'....it seems rather to fit a few on here...and in all seriousness might be something they should look at getting help with....they certainly need help of some sort!

Whilst some people genuinely have this disorder, & I sympathise with them, there are people without this disorder who just pretend they are someone else on message boards to cause trouble, hurt & mischief, & this will reflect in their behavior towards people on the boards

" Dissociative Identity Disorder
Also known as Multiple Personality Disorder
Symptoms

The presence of two or more distinct identities or personality states (each with its own relatively enduring pattern of perceiving, relating to, and thinking about the environment and self).

At least two of these identities or personality states recurrently take control of the person's behavior.

Inability to recall important personal information that is too extensive to be explained by ordinary forgetfulness.

The disturbance is not due to the direct physiological effects of a substance (e.g., blackouts or chaotic behavior during Alcohol Intoxication) or a general medical condition (e.g., complex partial seizures)."
