I think I like the new set up...........it seems to be easier on my eyes .

My tree seems a bit squashed but I guess I'll get used to it .

It is human nature to resist change ( especially when it is forced )...........I hope that in time folks get used to it being this way.

only trouble with using 'last reply' is if half way through typing you decide to check on a detail you are replying about you lose all you have already typed (I least I did). I may have doen it wrong

I'm not really a huge smiley fan, unless they are small and discreet... they tend to take over the page a bit, and I stop going into the sites that have the very big ones cos although they seem great at first, they soon mask the text for me...

I like the new format here... would have liked to have retained the *newest post first* facility... but there are lots of other benefits.. love the tree and the framed photos.

I do agree that the typeset could do with being darker... not necessarily black, but a darker green, as that would be easier to read... no probs on my pc, but my laptop has a smaller screen.

And I hate the amount of space given over to the adverts...... but I suppose they have to get extra revenue, and we can block them out if we need to.

But all in all, I like... but then I liked the other changes as well, in previous GR *tweakings*. Just like to have a little curmudgeony moan whilst readjusting to the changes, as do most of us, lol

I have just said on another thread I really like it.In the last 4years I have seen many changes on GR and it always takes about a week for people to get used to it, with great debates on weather it's an improvement or not.

I've only had a quick look but I like it, too.

Have to say the background would be better white, it does become a strain on the eyes,the longer you are reading, I have enlarged the text, but would prefer the normal size,also get rid of the cillit bang ad or move it to the left, bringing the board more to the right....begining not to like it!! tried twice to preview reply got taken back to home page, until I changed text back.....

Not had time for a proper look, but it looks alright to me, so far.

There are always moans and complaints with any change - in the grand scheme of things, is it really that earth-shatteringly important! My opinion only...
