Personally I find that text language on the phone is only just about acceptable. I spend so long trying to decipher it though that in the end I just delete it!

Text language in any other context is just plain ridiculous. What's the point? If you can type and type in normal language then text language is what - an affectation? laziness? Is it some sort of downgrading or dumbing down of the English language? Is it as stupid and lazy as swearing?

Next thing we know we'll have all the parents up in arms about their little darlings not achieving the requisite number of A levels. Wonder why that will be then? LOL

Texting styles can identify the author.
This is interesting. I came across this information in a magazine and have just done a bit of online research.
I suppose it makes sense and I thought others might find it of interest too.
