I usually ask for a voucher for the local beauty therapist (I'm one of those people for whom a bikini wax is more of a necessity than an option . . .) so I can get at least one appointment that I don't have to pay for.

My mum has threatened to give the neighbours those wheatbags you put in the microwave because I make them so she can get me to personalise the covers . . .

I take my wheatbags to craft fairs and you can find some interesting and different things there, too - I bought myself two bars of handmade soap for £2 and my dad got three canvas shopping bags for £10 at the last one. (The bags are really handy because they're very strong so we take them shopping to save on the carrier bags.)

HI,If you go on the Martin Lewis money site, and onto the forums, there is a board called weddings and special occasions, you will see lots of d.i.y. Christmas pressies ideas, with picture so you can see the finished item, I have just done 3 small boxes filled with retro sweets for just a few pounds , there are lots of things , worth a look, and you dont have to sign up or join.....

It depends on what you can afford. For teenagers with computers then you can get cheap
a new mouse mat
a mouse various prices from cheap to about £50
if they play games then a new game.
Trainers, T shirt (unusual) Sweat shirt with hood.
Toiletries.

Of course if all else fails buy the adults a scratch card £1 each and you can buy whatever you can afford.

We just bought a pillow for daughter it is one that you put your I Pod in and it connects to a speaker.You can listen to it without earphones.I think it was 19. 99

Summer, toys for adults are a great idea.

It came about because the other year we were sitting around watching the kids (my nephew and niece) opening their gifts and saying how cool they were... we were all there going "I want toys for xmas" in a really grown up way - not! So this year, when I was stumped as to what to get, I bought toys. Of course, then everyone started giving us lists LOL.

Well, my sis-in-law told me to use my imagination *snorts* We'll see in a few weeks how well that worked out LOL.

My 16 yr old has been browsing and he is buying his mates "Grow your own boyfriend/girlfriends!!" Can't imagine what these are but he is still laughing.....
