Sandy Balls Caravan and Camping site at Godshill in the New Forest, Hampshire.
I have not stayed there, but visited friends and rellies there and they all said how good it was. Very nice log cabins, static caravans, and you can also take your own.
Swimming pool ,restaurant, all amenities.

Or if you want to take a caravan or camp, Good sites run by the Forestry Commission in the New Forest. My favourite, where we used to come to,before we lived in Hampshire, was Hollands Wood. Brockenhurst.

We have a static caravan in Sussex.
Since we first went there, site fees have risen alot and electricity is now separate whereas it was once included. That is fairer though because some people apparently left the heating on even if the van wasn't being used.
Our site closes for 2 months...something to do with residency laws.
If you are hoping to use the van yourselves quite alot, consider your length of journey. Too far and poor roads might mean that it's too much hassle to contemplate too often. If any repairs or maintainance are needed would you want to be near enough to sort it yourselves?
Some sites only allow hiring through the site office, so they will obviously take their cut on fees. On the other hand you may get more bookings that way. It depends whether you want to let as a business or just to help out with costs.
TV licence would be another added cost to think about.

Was it the Seal?

The Dolphin and Anchor was in Chichester,it is a Wetherspoon's now.

All the sites in West Sussex are closed out of season. It might be a good idea to find out what the county council policy is on holiday homes before you consider buying in a county.

was there in 1974 ish Rose

Sharron no I'm not sure why the Bill is there, my dad looked at buying there but he would have wanted to use in jan and it is closed for 6wks. I didn't see much of it but do remember the pub being the Dolphin that our customer drank in. We only lived along the road at Brighton

Yes it is the one at Selsey. I don't know why people want to call it Selsey Bill. That is just a little bit of land right at the end of the peninsula. I think people feel it is more like a holiday if it has Bill in it.

It is the huge site divided into three parts. Each part has a seperate club with different types of entertainment.

There is Church Farm at Pagham,on the other side of Pagham Harbour too. That is on a nature reserve. If I lived somewhere else I would want to have a holiday home there.

Sharron I take it thats the one(s) at Selsey Bill a huge site split in to 3 parts. Statics, tourers and chalets. Did stay there once as an old customer moved that way so we called in to see him.
