Havent read all the way through but if no one else has suggested it, try rolling you a cot or pram sheet so the matress is at a slight angel this help my daughter had colic and nearly drove me mad..in the end the mt GP prescribed something for her I used to give her 20 mins before I fed her worked great. |

My eldest had colic. Nearly drove us crazy. As suggested laying on tummy across your knee helps at the same time drawing up the babies knees froggy fashion. This helped during the day. |

My eldest suffered with colic, I used gripe water, it used to be some for the baby and some for me, love the stuff, used to give her some before I fed her, then after feeding and winding, I used to get a hot water bottle that wasn't too hot, wrap it in a towel, put it on my knees and lay her across it and then sway my legs side to side. That used to always do the trick. |

Irishgirl - when I said dump - I meant dump - it was as fast as her little legs could get out of the garden gate on a Friday teatime having left her son and was always late back on Sunday to pick the little angel up! - we had that for at least 2 months. |

my 20 month had it, i gave him woodwards gripe water, but remember to burp after a feed and when feeding from bottle to make sure the baby doesnt suck on air from in the bottle that gives them colic... release the bottle so the air bubbles up... do that by tipping the bottle when the baby releases during a feed. |

Have you read the Contented Little Baby Book by Gina Ford? She claims by using her methods of structured feeds and naps she's cured every case of colic she's come across. |

All I can say is do what my daughter did - dump the baby with g.parents each weekend! g.son nearly 20 and I remember with horror the day and night colic from 3 mths. We took the baby to give them some sleep at weekends whilst here, OH, myself and son took it in turns - tried everything changed from breast milk, to different types of food, different bottles, different teats, goats milk, bottles with plastic liners. I thought colic usually came at around 3 months - fingers crossed for you. |

When my daugher was a baby I never put her over my shoulder and pat her back to "wind" her - I had read somewhere that it was only something the western culture did. When she had finished feeding I would just lay on her front across my lap for a while before putting her in her cot - she never had colic. |
