Hi Carol,
Sent you a message but didn't seem to show. I'm still getting used to writing on these things. I had to smile at your reply to me. I'm also 60 and both hubby and I will be working for next couple of years, maybe decades, going by the economy.

Rose careful on the 2wk trial on ancestry cos u have to give a credit card no. and you have to give them notice to cancel. Rose have they got another freebie going?

Carol ..Ancestry I think is much better than most but there are always people who will do look ups for you on most sites

Hello June,

I would like to retire, i'm 60, but my husband does insist on us keep working, even though our son works with us, he owns half the company, it keeps me occupied though :)

I have a two week free trial with Ancestry , and have to say have found a huge amount already from the census there , it is expensive to join but if you get as much info as you can from the free sites first then take the 2 week free trial think you can get a lot done that way (if you can stay up very late lol) .

If you want to PM me with any details you want me to look for please do ...I am happy to have a go.

Thanks Rose,
I know nothing on my mums side, my grandad died and i dont know his first name, thats no help i know and i dont know my nans side at all, so i think i'm stumped on that side.

I have more info on my dads side, thats a lot better, they are Stone, i have been looking through the free census and have i think i have them, hopefully, not very far back though :)

i've seen lots ask if ancestry is a good buy and find my past, which is better?
