I will own up to finding Marmite a bit too salty, so I switched to vegemite, but I doubt if there is much difference! Either way teachers always overstep the mark when it comes to packed lunch. Theres salt in cheese too ! |

Surely Jam and Marmalade are full of sugar!! With the tendancy for overweight children I would have thought sugar is the last thing needed. |

Noooo - how is it bad for you? My children had marmite sandwiches every day while they were at school - it was the only thing I could manage as I can't stand the sight of food first thing in the morning. |

A school in Ceridigion has banned children from eating Marmite on toast at their breakfast club. It is bad for you, they say! Well, I've been eating Marmite every day for 73yrs and I am definitely still here! My 70 yr old brother is also a fan. I believe that Jam and Marmalade are allowed. |
