oh i got um mixed up with what we call pikelets, drop scones are batter, mam used to call um pikelets,

welsh cakes are welsh cakes
i love um home made, but havent made um in a while

They definitely freeze.
My aunt does this regularly.

Best you make a BIG batch of Welsh cakes and then hide some in the bottom of the freezer.

If you find a supplier in England, please tell us.

Dropped scones in our family were made from a batter, but Welsh cakes were rolled out and cut out with a pastry cutter.

im gona get hubby to take me round all the shops lol

they usually called drop scones i think, or bakestones we use to call um,

hubbys from stoke and we once found oatcakes in sainsbrys here like the proper staffordshire oatcakes, (they resemble pancakes)
well they stopped sellin um i had to ask the bakery department could they get um and they did,

Our Asda store ( in Wales) sells Welsh cakes. Not sure if Asda in England will sell them though.
