Marilyn,you beat me to it with spangles.I liked the purple ones .I think the one you mention was more like a mustard colour.
Black Jacks,Fruit Salad.They seem to have been a lot of peoples favourites.

hi karen we have sweet shop in town which does old sweets ect l think when lam down there next must go in again buy somes sweets

What about Spangles,?
Not my favorite but I used to buy them.
One of them had a funny smell,can't think which colour Think it was a pale yellow one...

we have a sweet shop near us that sell a lots of older type sweets....our girls call it the "special sweet shop".......i feel a trip coming to get some merry maids...yum

my mum always made toffee for us kids. we had fun smashing it up to get a piece.


i asked mum for the recipe but she cant remember it now well it was 40yrs ago
