Karen, I do what I can for my friends, however I couldn't do the research that these programmes generate.

I would love someone to do mine!

Karen i suppose its the same as the famous people in Strictly Come Dancing or Celebrity Masterchef.. it makes more people watch..

There is Helen.. lots of Jewish cemeteries are being desecrated in Europe

Do these programmes not make anyone else cross?

I get really frustrated that these 'famous' people are having their family history handed to them on a plate, no expense spared, whilst us mere mortals have to do all the hard work ourselves and pay for the priviledge.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the thrill of the search and discovery as much as anything else, I just wish someone would pay for it for me!!!! Hee Hee

I think it would be very difficult without a professional genealogist in the foreign country.. or without wdytya..

I'm not Jewish, nor have I studied R.E. However, it makes me so sad. I hope our younger generations are taking notice and learning. We talk about it in our house.

I have a (formerly) Polish friend, she would like to look back too. It does look as if the records are there.

I have really loved this series... what an eye-opener... and a reminder, that no matter how British we feel, our ancestry might show some heritage that is truly richer and more multi-cultural than we might expect. What a wonderful tapestry to be woven into!

Love

David Suchet, Jerry Springer and all the rest.

I am so sorry for what has happened to the Jews over 2000 years. Is it only me? I really don't understand why any one group of people should have been persecuted for so long.
