I'm going to add a vote for crafty stuff, too. Just so we aren't all being too much into the pink dolly stereotyping ...

£20 limited, omg, I am out of touch? Birthday party pressies used to be much easier lol

Just had a thought, what about a voucher for somewhere she could get Bratz stuff, so she could choose her own, or do the Accessory shops do vouchers if she likes those kind of things?
All too often when opening party presents, things get overlooked and this would give her some fun after the day and make her feel grown up, choosing her own things.

Janey, my older granddaughter (she was 3 in May) loves *dress up* as well.... and I am favourite granny at the moment cos I buy themed clothes for her.... including *princess* undies and hair stuff, lolol

Also... those dolls heads with make-up that she can use on herself as well...... they go down well.

Does she like drawing?

hmm depends how much you want to spend
but my eldest to 5/7 love craft things especially if it contains glue and glitter
daff idea is good hair bobbles and pretty girls hair slides
dressing up clothes always go down well
barbies
a disney dvd

if all else fails go for some sort of sweets of choclate lol

Dress-up stuff??

One year, one of the things I got my nieces for Christmas was velvet capes (yes, one pink, one purple) left over from Hallowe'en. They loved 'em.

Your son is right... anything to do with Bratz dolls is good!!

How much did you want to spend? A handbag or purse? Does she have long hair? Pretty hair stuff goes down well with my great neice and her friends (although they are much much older and more mature.... at 6, lololol)
